Agree with the consensus. Great performance against a good team who've caused everyone problems.

I do like Doucoure and he adds so much to the team, but I have noticed a slight tendency to be a bit sloppy with some of his passes as he moves forward. He should be able to iron that out as time goes by and he gets to know the movements of the players better. Also Allan's presence does nullify the danger to a large extent.

Calvert Lewin is the true reflection of this team for me. On form, full of confidence and a handfull for anyone but will get even better.

One of the negatives of today is having to listen to Chris Sutton to be honest.

The guy is an absolute misery of a pundit who could find a negative in anything which is surprising given his career was largely negative mixed in with the a positive which was at best against the grain. Worm.

I think being a misery is his MO so he has to play it up, a bit like Merson getting Names wrong.

Thing's I liked from the highlights:
1) James running to Iwobi to celebrate the goal as he seemed to walk off in opposite direction when it went in like he didn't think he was part of the team.
2) DCL being in front of goal for the pull back on both of James goals. He is hungry for goals!

I agree, but sidwell was just as bad blaming the weather for pickford's clanger

Doucoure, DCL and Mina put in a man of the match performance each for me. And I don't think the other starters were far away from that level too with one notable exception in goal. Iwobi also looked good.

Very pleasing performance.
I'm just glad James was able to contribute a little, but I agree that he was not a candidate for MOTM (says I sarcastically).

....so chuffed for all our younger fans who’ve seen nothing like this before. Early days, enjoy.
Was thinking the same fella. Imagine what it would be like if we actually win a trophy. My lad is 10, got a picture of him in a baby kit in my arms the last time we beat the RS. Thought 7 years was way too long before the Andy king derby. We’ve made a similar start this season, let’s hope it’s an omen for the derby.

Haha I only forgot to mention the guy that scored 2, had an assist and be key in the other goal too!

James has the magic in him that's for sure. He will be an Everton legend if he keeps on playing like this.
