Recent history tells us we don't do well in 2nd halfs. Let's change that. I just feel like for all our trying we look as if we will concede a sucker punch. A draw would be a great result sad to say.

Some absolutely dreadful performances there

Mykolenko absolutely abysmal
Patterson getting skinned when defending
Mcneil absolutely woeful
Iwobi poor
Davies terrible with the ball
Gueye looking leggy

For too many not at it, formation not working

Massive and I mean MASSIVE 45 minutes coming up here.

Some actually believe we are a mid table team. I’m not sure what games they watch to come up with that. This team (if you call it that) wouldn’t look out of place in the championship.

We held the best team in the league last time out. With a bit of luck, absolutely, but anyone hoping for a result against them needs that. We lose one of our only competent midfielders in the process of that win.

Why in God’s name would we change the setup back to a predominantly losing one in recent times, introducing a typically useless midfielder in the process?

He’s been here just about a year and he’s at the panic/guesswork stage already. There’s no logic behind anything he does and he expects us to swallow crap about not being clinical enough after every game.
I expect it was changed because Godfrey couldn’t play again

This is also a game at home where we should be going for a win so setting up with five at the back without Onana to carry the ball in midfield (Davies and Doucoure aren’t that player) would limit our attacking options

Does anyone really think we’re just an attacker or two away from a surge up the league?

Pick any two attackers in world football, transplant them into this team, with these tactics and this clueless get in charge and I defy us to make any significant progress whatsoever.

Think we need 2 up front and start chucking crosses in.....as long as they get in the box. Frustrating the amount of times a diagonal ball is played well and controlled only to look up and see no one in the box or making an effort to get in the box.
We could learn a thing or 2 about movement from Brighton
Simms and DCL and we go direct. The attacking play is just poo in the first half.

I bet the manager would change nothing until 70 odd minutes then we go 0-2 down.

. We started well then Brighton settled down and had the best of the half.
Not giving up yet though, we can get a goal here. Just keep it tight at the back though eh guys.
Get them fired up for second half!
A goal isn’t good enough. This is a must win or I’m in the frank out camp unfortunately.

god knows what they actually do in training.
