Without Richarlison up top:

Bournemouth 2-2 D
West Ham 1-3 L
Huddersfield 1-1 D

With Richarlison up top

Leicester 2-1 W
Crystal Palace 2-0 W
Man Utd 1-2 L (missed numerous chances)

I hope Silva doesnt listen to the fans and sticks Tosun or DCL back in the side otherwise it'll finish 1-1.

What are you talking about? LMAO! RIcharlison DIDNT PLAY in those games you mentioned. So its not like its a case for him not playing in the wing, since he wasnt even on the field.

Your stat only proves we are worst with Richarlison out of the team, not wing vs striker.

Doesn't anyone else reckon they're dead boring though. Boring team boring players boring manager zzzz

Definitely look to kill any chance of a game of football breaking out when they go away from home. We really need a quick start here otherwise can see us needing a late winner in the same vein of the Palace game.

yep, to be fair though palace always had the threat of zaha causing mayhem everytime we got caught, they have glen murray up top, even keane would be able to out pace him, what we need against these is an early goal as you say, they'll have no choice to come out of there shell

Unfortunately, Glenn Murray scores a lot more goals than Glenn Murray should. As you say though, his lack of pace should mean he barely gets near the box on Saturday.

Rico-------------Tosun/DCL-------------Lookman
--------Bernard-------------------Sig-----------------
----------------------Gomes---------------------------
Digne-----Mina--------------Keane---------Kenny

Walcott and Gana to come on for Lookman And Bernard when the BHA start to tire.
Gana to cover for Walcott's defensive deficiencies.

3-1 Everton.

I think a little tweak from last week is needed. I've got a lot of respect for Brighton and in particular Chris Houghton, whilst I expect a win, a win by a single goal would be good enough for me!

Pickford
Coleman-Zouma-Keane-Digne
Gana - Gomes
Lookman - Siggy - Richarlison
Tosun

Digne and Coleman marauding down the flanks, Sigurdsson and Gomez dominating in the middle, Richarlison running their centre backs ragged, tackles flying in left, right and centre but to no avail as Bernard jinks past a few players and fires in a fizzing cross, Brighton break quickly, Pickford flaps, 0-1 Brighton. Sack Silva.

A win here would be some good league form for us. All about building momentum from where we were least season and getting back into the European conversation. First half of last season showed we have no divine right to win games in this league. That we have started to again under Silva is good and if we can keep on winning at home we’ll be in a great place to strike for Europe come the second half of the season.

Christ, we'd ship about 10.

If you're asking Gomes to hold, then you're losing what he brings to the side going forward. If he drives forward with the ball, then who covers for him. Bernard? Gylfi?

Brighton have some decent players. Yes they'll come to defend but they'll have a threat on the counter with pace down the wings, and if Gross isn't fit then March will play down the middle.

Coleman will start. And so he should. He's not beyond criticism but people seem to forget that Kenny had one of his worst games in an Everton shirt against Leicester. Add in the fact that it does neither us nor Seamus any good for him to be dropped. He needs the minutes to build up his sharpness - which is all this bad run is. 18 games in 20 months, split up into spells of 4-5 games at a time, is no good for regaining form. He needs a proper run in the side.

Mina/Zouma is a toss-up (mainly because Zouma can't play obviously against Chelsea).

Lookman for Walcott, no problem there. It suits Theo to come on later in a game like this I reckon.

So the other decision is really, Bernard wide left and Richarlison central, or Richarlison wide and Tosun/DCL to start.

Tosun

Probably exactly what I'd start.

Pickford
Kenny - Keane - Zouma - Digne
Gomes - Gana
Dowell - Sig - Rich
DCL

- Kenny or Holgate for the liability that is Coleman.
- Walcott needs to learn he’s not undroppable
- These will sit deep if they don’t score early so might need the invention of Dowell/Bernard over the pace of Lookman. We’ll have a lot of the ball
- Again if they’re deep I can’t see Cenk getting any joy aerially nor getting in behind.
