...very tough game, difficult team to break down.

If Mina does play it might be as much about Brighton’s strength at set pieces as it is about Zouma not being available against Chelsea. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 3 at the back.

I’d also be surprised if Richarlison plays centrally in a home game where I expect little in the way of counter-attacking.

Would be great going forward. Not sure about the wingbacks defensive duties though!

Agree with this, we need a stronger presence up top for this, and Richarlisons strength will be better on the left. Brighton are a well drilled unit, who are scrapping for everything at the moment. The only way we get a decent margin in this game is if we score early. A hard fought win by one goal will do me.

Difficult game, and we put too much pressure on with our over-reliance on getting points at home, particularly against opposition like this. This is the definition of "expected win" much as last Sunday was the opposite.

I feel this is a banana skin and that the season will be composed of these peaks and troughs where we go on good and bad mini-runs.

It would be nice for Bernard or Gomes to get a goal early on in a blue shirt, and this seems like the perfect game. Mina will be a great option if we are chasing the game late on also.

Time for Walcott to drop to the bench and for Lookman to start.

But I have a feeling this will be a draw. 1-1.

The cock ups at West Ham, Huddersfield and Bournemouth mean as you say we over rely on 3 points in these games.

Im hoping for a scrappy 2-1 win.

The key to a win here is scoring early abd opening the game up. If we go into half time drawing or losing I think 1-1 / 2-2 myself.

said this every single home game this season so far and I've been wrong every time ( even Fulham we rode oru luck lets be honest ) but I think we'll batter these

I'd go with DCL up front with Richy and Lookman on the wings here. Switch DCL for Cenk in the second half at some point but try to play these two wingers for the full 90. Would also think we need to give Mina a start in advance of the Chelsea game. Go with 3-1.

Yeh,

I'd say Mina in for Zouma, purely for the reason you state.

It's difficult with the front four. If it's the plan to play Richarlison up front, then there's nothing wrong with sticking with it. Either way, I think Lookman should be given a start. I just think this type of game will suit him starting, with Walcott to come on when the game is more stretched later on. The question then is whether it's Richarlison out left with Tosun/DCL starting, or Richarlison up top and Bernard left.

Gomes Gana
Lookman Sigurdsson Bernard
Richarlison
Mina in for his first start and Lookman in for Walcott. I'd keep Richarlison up top, you don't learn a new position by not playing there. Besides I've seen him do a lot of good stuff up top and I think his pace might worry Dunk and Duffy a bit. I can see the reasoning for Tosun or DCL but I'd rather give Richarlison a run of games up front to see how good he can be there.
