They'll come to sit and hit on the break as often as they can just as Huddersfield, Fulham & Palace tried in the last 3 at home.

Difficult to pick a team for this to be honest. We struggled to create against Palace with Richarlison up front and it's not easy to say why really.. perhaps because there was no real presence up there to worry them? sloppiness in the final third? probably a combination. Either way we struggled to get in behind often enough.

Here's what I'm thinking right now:

Pickford

Coleman - Keane - Zouma - Digne

Gana ------ Gomes

Sigurdsson
Lookman
---------------- Richarlison
Tosun

Difficult to drop Bernard, but I can't help but feel like he'd be a better option off the bench here. Tosun gets the nod for me with Richarlison moving back onto the left.. Tosun had a good game against this lot at home last season. Think Lookman deserves a chance starting over Walcott personally.. dunno what's happened with Theo recently but he needs taking out of the starting lineup for now. Depending on how the game is panning out, giving Mina some minutes in the second half would be handy.. we need him on the pitch at some point before Chelsea rolls around.

I cant see Brighton turning us over but an impotent draw is foreseeable. Tosun up front against the big lads might not be fruitful. I think I'd like to see how Richarlisson does with Bernard and Lookman eaither side of him. Puts a lot of weight on Gylfi though behind those 3. Gomes and Gana in the middle seems pleasurable and Id like to see Gomes get a goal. Mina in for Zouma makes sense too but after Soton Silva may not want too many changes!

Zouma can't play against Chelsea so it makes sense to get Mina a game before then. We could potentially go 3 at the back with Digne and Coleman on the sides, Gomes and Gylfi in the middle and Benard, Richalison and Lookman/Walcott as a front 3 if Silva wants to ease Mina in. I'm not suggesting we do that btw. I think keeping the side as consistant as possible is the best plan but i can see him trying to give Mina the easiest introduction possible

Think Mina has to play this game, it'll be a nightmare for all of us if his first minutes in the royal blue are at Stamford Bridge. Hard to drop any of the centre halves but I can't see it working out well for us against Chelsea otherwise.

Brighton are in form so it will be a hard game, we should have enough to beat them though. I'd like to see Holgate in at RB and as others have said Tosun in for Bernie, with Richarlison back out wide left. I'd leave the rest as is and look to bring Lookman and DCL on at some point.

i'd put Richarlison back on left hand side and put tosun back up top. Lookman in for Walcott on right side. I'd stick with same back 4 that has been playing.

The top ten there's not much separating each position from each other. The league looks exciting. But if gaps emerge I'd like to be in the right end of it.

Last goals scored from open play Siggy, Tosun and Lookman were all directly invovled so deserve to start in my opinion. Brighton will be compact so not much space in behind for Walcott, and I think his decision making against Man U was questionable anyway. Bernard at the 60 minute mark if its not going well is a great option from the bench. Fully on board with introducing Mina at home against a team who will load up on set pieces so he can get a taste for the Prem before Chelsea next week.

I toyed with the idea of Davies and Gomes as a midfield two. I'd like to see how Davies fares with a more composed player next to him. I think the combined energy of the two, along with Gomes guile, could actually be quite dynamic. Gomes passing could take some pressure off Davies as it means Davies doesn't always have to be the one to look for a forward pass and can pick his moments to do so, rather than forcing it and drawing the ire of the crowd. You can also imagine Gomes finding Davies between the lines when Davies pushes on, something Gana can't really do as he doesn't have the passing range. This would give teams more to think about in that area, where currently they only really have Siggy to worry about. I'd like to see it tried against a lower half team like Brighton, or optimally a slightly more ambitious Prem team like Watford who will invite a more open game - but either way I wouldn't make more than 3 changes on Saturday and think Mina, Tosun and Lookman all deserve a chance more than Davies.

2-0 Everton for me,as mostly Brighton lose that scoreline away [9 from last 15],Plus Brighton have got there 1st away win in the league last week in nearly a year,so thats not going to happen this week v us lol
