Look at that being 2 points dropped, as usual we tired at 65 minutes and at 70 should have pulled both Young and Harrison (who was way out of position for their goal).
Dyche needs to work out how to use subsistutes, and quickly.

….the only possible substitution for Harrison was Patterson but only with Young staying on. Bringing Danjuma on would’ve been so, so risky.

Do people find the way Brighton play entertaining? They pass the ball well and are well drilled but it's quite boring to watch until the ball gets to Mitoma. Reminds me of us under Roberto in his last two seasons.
Burnley on Wednesday were similar, but with much less quality. There is no way an Everton team can play like that, Goodison would be up in arms the third time the ball was recycled back to the goalie and ready for blood every time we lost possession in the final third with most of the team committed. So yeah, just like Roberto.

Think I owe Mykolenko and the ref a drink.

Another match against a top side, only a freak goal and some again dodgy refereeing keeping them in it. I know it frustrates some people, but imagine how mad you'd be as a fan of these sides that try and imitate Pep with 1/10th of the players. Its just constant mindless passing for the sake of passing and hoping your opponent gets frustrated I guess. Instead just leaves their fans frustrated, which is fine by me.

Im hopeful we can follow up with a win against Palace next week, slide into the middle of the table and allow the manager and players some breathing room from the fans.

I thought our second half display, until Brighton scored, was appalling. Sitting back and trying to defend a 1 goal lead against one of the top scoring sides in the league was folly. Having said that I was delighted with the point at the end, we really missed Onana, I thought Mykolenko was very good today, gave him my vote for MOTM, but I really hope I never see us play again like we did in the second half today at home to a team who have won one of their last seven games.

Referee and linesman were awful today.

Brighton bored the snot out of me, possession with nothing attached to it, and we were as conformable as I’ve seen us. Felt we had more goals in us if the ref did his job properly.

Spawny equaliser for them from young who was blowing out of his backside about 15 mins before it happened.

The lack of subs frustrating but I understand why he didn’t want to change it, as I felt we were in control of the game.

Take the point and move on - much more confident about our chances of staying up barring injuries - I think we win that with Onana in the side.

In the past 5 matches doing it opposing players have scored 1 goal from play. Other than that its been an own goal, and a penalty. The only one scored by an opposing player from play was when it was 10v11. Without a freak own goal its 4 clean sheets in 5, so I think most would view it working pretty well.

better teams will just score then we come out kill is off

unless he learns to make changes ams not make players run out of steam it will keep happening
