If we ever want to improve as a club and have the right sort of mentality in the dressing room, then the next match needs to always be the most important match.

The idea of throwing games away should be absolutely unacceptable at a club of our size, especially in front of a sold out Goodison.

Sold out Goodison. That's all we need to know. We're craving success and will sell out a tie against Burnley

On the train on my way, few cans deep already. Pure buzzin for this evening.
Hope we play our best team available and get stuck into these.

Meaningless this.

Just play a weakened team and hand the result to Burnley.

We might need 50 points just to survive this season and we've only got 10 of them with 10 games played.
So you honestly think Luton town, sheffield and burnely are in the position to accrue 49 points? Maybe combined between the three teams lol where did you pluck this 50 points hokum from? Sheffield hasn't even won a game yet

As well as that, do we really want to give relegation rival Burnley a morale boosting win

Playing neither of the two would increase our chance of defeat. He needs to play a strong side as a victory will continue the momentum.

Maybe Phil but my concern is with staying in the PL and an injury to either of these two would weaken us for the BHA game.

IF we get a points deduction, we will not be getting a 12 point deduction.

even if we did, no team with any pride whatsoever should ever throw a game.

Any deductions above 5 points has us - with a paper thin first team squad - looking to get safe on the final day...at best.

But yeah, let's risk our players against Burnley, maybe win then draw Arsenal away next round or whatever.

Bring back the days when winning a trophy was the aim each season and not just retain PL status.

A generation of our fans have never seen us do that I have and I know what it feels like! It’s much better than 3 points on a Saturday
PL status > 3 handled cup
