Its still Barkleys first full season, he's had an injury and been in indifferent form. Doesn't mean i really wanna see Osman starting games but he's using his squad and managing a young player who's not gonna play every single game.

Nothing wrong with his handling of Ross, especially compared to Moyes.
Barkley has started EVERY big game this season, tells you all you need to know.

He obviously doesnt want Deulofeu and Barkley on the pitch at the same time. Playing Mirallas and Deulofeu with Osman allows both wingers to do whatever they want, with Barkley in there, the shackles would be on slightly.

I think on merit, Barkley probably deserves to start more than Del does, but he's got to give him game time and its the fact that Ossie is a probably a little less popular or desirable than some of our wing options. So it looks worse.

If you think its as simple as "I think Osmans not very good, so he shouldnt start" then you either don't know much about football in general or don't know much about the way we play and the type of players needed. Also that he has to pick a TEAM to function together whether defending or attacking not just who you guys think are the best players.

Exactly! Barkley is our man when we need surging runs on the break, like our goal against Arsenal, but his final ball has been inferior to Osman's and this is a game which we need a killer pass.
