Just watching Sky's Monday Night Football analysis of the Everton Chelsea game. I didn't realise at the time that Jelavic's header was one of those clever "of the side of the head" headers to set Naismith up.

I wonder if he meant it?

Carragher seemed to think he did.

It's not the dog in the fight that counts, it's the fight in the dog! Obviously could/would have been different if we had conceded 1 or 2 quickly as might have happened but self belief counts for a lot and we are beginning to show that in abundance. Just need better quality final pass and more goals. Oh lucky lucky, lucky lucky lucky lucky Lukaku!?!?

It's a pity he didn't score from the free header 8 yards out unmarked earlier in that half.

Never seen such a wasteful striker in a long time. He really shouldn't make a first team start from now on...unless we pull a lower division team out of the hat in the LC if/when we get past Fulham.

It wasn't eight yards, but it was bloody funny! You could tell he was caught in two minds between laying it on for Naismith or going for goal, and in the end did neither.

He was dreadful on Saturday, truly garbage.

Highly recommend reading this goal breakdown from Chelsea blog We Aint Got No History--
lovely looking breakdown, focusing more on Chelsea's mistakes (not much credit given to Everton, but that's not their interest), but still an enjoyable read for anyone interested...

What a verbose pile of nonsense. There was only one real mistake there and that was the one he identified first: Eto'o fumbling the roll out from Cech like it was a hot potato. They were overrun from there and we exploited their failed gamble to counter attack from deep.

Incredible the amount of navel gazing analysis that goes into that.

It was headed backpass in the end. Unreal.

Got a link to that, mate?

So, to sum up, Everton's pressing and clever play led to a good goal that ultimately won the match for us. I wonder why there is no mention of the blatant Luiz foul on Mirallas, either on that link or even on MotD? Disgraceful editing by the BBC if you ask me!
