It's not even worth dissecting. We battered them but made some of the most unspeakably ludicrous mistakes imaginable. None of their goals came from build up play, or defenders out of position or any sort of tactical issue. They literally came from absolutely nothing, but Howard ballsed up twice and Osman ballsed up once. At the other end, Palace put 11 behind the ball, still concede two and accidentally block three off the line.

People throwing all and sundry under the bus are being absolutely weapons. There are big problems with the team, but it's purely between the ears. I am utterly livid with what I've just seen, but stop and have a think for a second before you just blame the first bloke you can think of.

LOL. It worked. 100% gave us the go forward we needed. A bit of luck and one of our chances goes in and we get the draw.
I agree mate...up til then we were dilly-dallying about, passing it round behind the half way line, doing sweet FA.
This is a MAJOR cluster****, given the results around us.
Terrible performance

A team with Eto,Lukaku,McCarthy,Barry and Baines in the starting 11 should have plenty enough to beat a very average Palace side

The fact is we created enough chances and had enough control over the game to win it easily, Errors have cost us and no manager can influence that once the players go out onto the pitch

Disagree mate its happening way too many times this season for it to not be martinezs fault.

If you cock up you are bollocked and dropped, Jagielka has not been dropped once despite playing like Titus bramble all season and distin who has been just as bad has come back from injury and BAM straight back into the first team. Absolute joke

Anyone saying play Hibbo at Right Back needs their head given a right going over by mental health specialists. The man has no go forward at all and would ruin us going forward as we'd lose all balance. With Coleman out Stones is the best option we have there.
We can't afford to lose Stones from the middle though. Look far less shaky with him there.

How can the backroom staff be blamed for seasoned pros making stupid errors during the game?

He's changed nothing from last season, Same back four, Same set up, Same tactics

Every game someone decides to have a brain fart that contributes to our down fall
Mate cause the back room staff, train them ,prepare them both physically and mentally. These same pros have gone from being a solid team to one that looks like conceding 3 or 4 a game. Let's not forgot on Thursday night we was very lucky not to concede more. It would be foolish to not look at the management AS WELL as the players

Osman created the goal and could have had one to put the game away. I would not blame him for the loss. Howard should have saved one of those. Still a top top keeper.
