It's almost as if while the Barcelona fans are celebrating football, we're celebrating prophecies of failure. Whatever floats your boat by the way. I'm not here to judge - your relationship with Everton is about you and the blues. Sometimes quite literally.
best bit.

Hi guys

Palace Fan here

Really looking forward to monday night, should be a really good game imo.

From Palace point of view

I think Everton style of pushing the fullbacks up and not double marking our wingers always leaves us with a chance, there always seems to be alot of space behind them when we play you, saying that Zaha and Sakho are out which is a blow so Bolasie and Puncheon (who isnt that quick) will probably be out wide.

Since we last played you obviously Cabaye has come in and we so look after the ball alot better, our weakness is lack of threat in central areas, none of our strikers or number 10 have scored all season, but in fairness we have had Chamakh our first choice number 10 injured all season and simular with Wickham who has just come back and although didnt score looked a handful last week.

The form of Lukaku worries me, if its a cagey game I fancy you to win as you have more goals in your side but if its a open type game I think it will play more into out hands to sit and play on the counter.

What ever happens good luck for the rest of the season, I think both clubs share their mutual hatred of Liverpool so I always look out for your results.

No doubt Bobby will be having another look at James McArthur to see if he's developed any in the last couple of years.
was always the workhose in comparison to McCarthy's guile at Hamilton, but Bobby saw him more as a box-to-box at Wigan and turned McCarthy into the DM. Could still be a good, proven, cheap buy to fill in one of the central positions when the crock/pensioners leave at the end of the season.

I dont know why but I feel a loss coming on. Crystal Palace is just awful for the city of Liverpool. They kill us. Pray to anyone I am wrong.

That's how I feel about Norwich away next week. I think after last week's cock up at Bournmouth the lads will be fired up and a night game at Goodison will see us over the line.

Them having little threat with pace out wide on the right should allow us to double up on Bolasie on the left, take him out of the game and keep tabs on Cabaye they will offer little threat other than set pieces.

Aslong as Deloufeu and Barkley show up and create chances for Rom we should be getting the 3 points here.

Cursed us by saying none of your strikers or no10 have scored all season!! Thanks

From (my admittedly failing) memory, we seem to do well in Monday night games. That's tempered by their excellent recent record at GP and the usual evertonian paranoia.
Then I remember we've got Deulofeu and I think sniff it Pardew 3-1 to us.

Do it blues.

Nice write-up Chico. I also don't mind Palace (although they did do the waving of twentys a bit too much in the 90s). For some reason I've been to more games at Selhurst than any other away. One for the pop-pickers - I've seen Everton win against 3 different teams at Selhurst - bet you end up using Google.

Was amazed to see that photo of Seedorf. Then I remembered - they've signed all sorts of big names, at the arse end of their careers. They're like the MLS of English Football. Who else was there? Remember Lombardi scoring a winner at Goodison on the opening day years back (didn't he manage them?) Then there was that fat Swedish lad that Leeds had, who was even fatter at Palace - Brolin?

Points for jarg Freudian analysis, but can't figure whether plus or minus. Since we'll never see rep again in our lifetimes, I suppose it just doesn't matter.

Another draw, says my three working footy synapses after a full day of college conference champeenship action. Any more than that is gravy.

It's not just what Everton do, it's what Everton also do, you know? That's what makes them Everton. I hate that about them, but here I am, so there. Unnerstand?

Pardew, then. Pardew is like one of those dodgy college football coaches over here that talks about integrity all the time and then has the local brass on retainer to help out with recruiting top talent. Through the brother-in-law of one of his former assistant coaches. At a different school. Just keep selling out those six-figure alumni boxes and win ten a year, coach.

Palace fans seem a decent lot, but the ultra thing does get old after awhile. How do they ever know what's actually going on with the game? They're missing some good footy to be fair. Rather watch Palace play that lot over there than us, for sure. Thinking of Palace playing them over there makes me smile, actually. Misty, water colo(u)red memories...
