Not on tonight's evidence. His value to Palace is he keeps them in the Prem - he's a squad player at best for anyone competing for the European spots.

They happen far, FAR to often with Everton though. That's the rub.

They were better than us. Defensively, they were all over the shop and gifted us chances - couldn't even defend a straight through ball from our own half - but in every other area of the pitch they were the better side.

I have no idea what people were watching when they say we played "well" there. It was an abject performance all around.

So many chances missed, this should have been game over long ago. Its not, so its typical Everton.

Its not a big surprise as its the same midfield as last season. It wasn't good enough then and its not now.

Coleman hasn't been bad, he's done some nice things but he's not the Coleman of 5 years ago. A new midfield is needed as its shown you can't get through a season with two capable midfielders.

Everton are about in the position they deserve to be. I can't see you guys getting Europe this season.

Its frustrating as everytime there is a low points season, they are bang average.

Thought Holgate & Mina were fine, I really don’t like Keane in that right side of three CBs, the opposition continually get in that channel.

I thought our best two players were taken off, Rodriguez & Coleman. I’m going for Coleman as MoM as he created a number of chances, including the assist for the goal.

Rodriguez told the bench to take him off as he was knackered. But taken Coleman off was a joke just don’t ever touch the defence especially when they kept place to nothing. Soon as Coleman came off that right hand side was all over the place.

We'll be 9th. Ancelotti made comments before the game about overhauling the squad. He knows we're not up to it, not that he helped himself in the second half, mind. But we can all stop any talk of top four now...or that Richarlison or DCL are anything other than fairly ordinary strikers. Both utterly unreliable...a bit like our team if by reliability you mean likely to win.

Poor coaching subs. Took off James and had no offense. It was stupid again sit back like babies letting the mean men play. Absolutely ridiculous play after we scored. He has done this before.

....thought James was treading water & they were running past him too easily.

I actually thought both substitutions were understandable.

Don't disagree but we're SO much better away.

Just so sick of false dawns. Just get the damn stadium built and we can continue to simply "exist" as we have for the past 35 years..

I don't think we're very different. Just had the luck in away games more frequently.

Today was a good performance and losing points is a thing that happens even when you play well in football but we don't have enough of these types of performances for it not to be a season killer when it happens to us.
