Mr. Silva must look at how the team manages its attacking corners because based on
what I have seen they represent the opponent's best chance of getting a counter-attack
going. Leicester scored from one of our corners as did Fulham nearly; we leave dangerous man-marking on their
fastest players and end up having to take yellow cards to stop a break-out, e.g.Coleman and Gueye yesterday.

But above all the team just does not maximize its chances. Zouma occasionally wins a header but cannot ever keep it down
and Keane is about the same -but above all I get annoyed with the poor quality of delivery. We pack their area but there is no plan.

But an important win before heading for OT so well done Mr. Silva.

TWICE he looks at where Sakho is.

Why are you excusing an action like that? He's almsot certain to get a red again this season - and no wonder if he's not being read the riot act on it.
No way was that an intentional elbow ffs.

What's he watching Sakho for? He should have eyes on the flight of the ball.

If you watch, Sakho also has a look at the same time Richarlison has his first look.

They're both checking each others' positions.

Richarlison then has another look but there's no leading action with his elbow. It's just a straight leap for a ball that he probably knew he wouldn't win but as a CF he's wanting to try and make the effort - and you know full well he'd get blasted by our fans anyway if he didn't go for those balls.

Think we all accept he was an idiot against Bournemouth, and he's far from the finished article, but if that's a red we might as well pack it in and go home.

After watching the highlights, the pen is definitely a dive. I know there's contract, but the way Zaha has to jump a few seconds after means it's not enough to actually take him down. The FA are the reason for such diving though because they start these stupid rules that every bit of contract is deemed a foul now.

Had they scored, would he have recieved the same punishment as niasse did? Would he hell. Zaha influenced the ref's decision much more than niasse did, whom I still think actually got pushed off balance. This is what is running the sport, baffoons who put laws in place but don't know a thing about how football works.

Between DCL goal and Tosun goal is 38 seconds. Last time I remember 2 goals close together was when we beat Spurs with Pienaar and Jelavic and I also remember beating Birmingham where Carsley scored late

Can't remember many late double strikes as close as today's time wise
I missed both those games. Considering I've missed less than 20 home games in 12 years I must be a bad omen.

I cannot agree with any of your points there sorry. His clip on Sakho? He wasn't even looking at the man when he went up in a fair challenge for the ball, so red card? Never in a million years. The Palace penalty was marginal at best and could have been a yellow for Zaha for simulation. And Tomkins pulling Richarlison down in the area? We've seen penalties given for less before now. So really you're just trying to play ref's best mate for some reason. Any brown envelope involved? o_O
What are you talking about? Any player should be looking for what the opposing players are doing as well as the ball. You don't think that Sakho (that oh so graceful player lollol) wasn't looking at what Richarlison was doing before jumping up arms akimbo himself?
Oh dear.

As you know well davek , your earlier point about Rico looking behind , before elbowing , is absolute boll**cks .
What is your agenda mate ?
He looked twice for where Sakho was before launching and getting his elbow out into Sakho's face.

How cant you and others acknowelge that? Try and be objective. I mean it's not like the lad hasn't been sent off before for acting like a nobhead this season is it? he's got that in him and it needs taking away. Because if it isn't he;ll put us down to 10 men again very soon.

Naive. Have you ever played football? Sakho's no shrinking violet and he knows when someone has stuck one on him.

As said, another day against another team away from home especially and Richarlison is off and we're down to 10.

...he’s certainly competitive, which is no bad thing.

In respect of that particular incident, I think only he knows the true intent. He certainly looks at the defender but he also tracks the ball. He’s up against a taller man but has a good leap and uses his leading arm/elbow for leverage. It was the trailing arm I thought he might have used to leave something on the defender but you’d have to ask Richarlison if he did that on purpose.
