Yeah, fair point.
Yeah there are scenarios we finish ahead of Burnley on GD but they’d have to lose 4-0 at least v Villa for them to be in play.

The commitment is there. They just aren't very good.My feeling for a long time is their is a distinct lack of commitment in this squad. I dont see much evidence to the contrary.
I genuinely don’t agree re the standard of our players, and that’s what I’ve been most baffled about all season. I think, objectively, we should be somewhere around 10-12th.The point is that if we can't beat a fairly mediocre side at home in such an important game then we deserve relegation because the team is championship standard. The game itself isn't why we deserve it obviously but its a perfect symbol of why we deserve it.
The real problem is 99% of the players we have really are championship standard at best and all the support from both fans and the manager can only get them so far. We just have to hope that on Thursday we get a full 90mins of the of play that matches opening 18mins we got today.
I land somewhere in the middle. I imagine there’s some that don’t fancy it, and I also think that there’s been an astonishing lack of quality for large parts of the season. I don’t think that’s because our players aren’t capable, though, I just think Benitez ended up being the catastrophic appointment that many on here (myself not included, admittedly) thought he’d be.The commitment is there. They just aren't very good.
From the core of the starting 11 we've used recently. But I dont think it is from the wider squad. There are certainly players the manager doesn't trust. The commitment is there. They just aren't very good.
What I’m most excited about, wherever we end up, is that Lampard seems very willing to drop the players he doesn’t think fancy it or are good enough. We simply haven’t had that in recent years. From the core of the starting 11 we've used recently. But I dont think it is from the wider squad. There are certainly players the manager doesn't trust.
I'm just too stressed to think rationally about the future right now. Its Sunday night and I'm nervous about a match on Thursday. My head has gone lolWhat I’m most excited about, wherever we end up, is that Lampard seems very willing to drop the players he doesn’t think fancy it or are good enough. Whether we can recruit well is another matter, but for all the shouts of “fresh start” over these last few years I actually believe this could be it.
I’m kind of the opposite. I don’t want to think about the next two games, but don’t think the prospect of starting next season in the Champo is the end of the world, much as I’d prefer not to!!!I'm just too stressed to think rationally about the future right now. Whatever happens, we need an enormous clear out. But I dont want to think about the possibility of doing it in the championship. Its too horrible a thought.
Think Lampard said today he wasnt making it this thursday, but said last week he thought he may be back final game , so take your pick lolIs it know if Mina will be back? I've lost track, hopefully Godfrey is at least
No to both. Confirmed by Frank post matchIs it know if Mina will be back? I've lost track, hopefully Godfrey is at least
