Strong liklihood we will still be 7th after the City game but if we can win this we will be at least breathing down the necks of those above. If we beat City somehow we will be 4th and only 3 points behind those above with a game in hand. If ever there was a time a performance was needed its today.

winning is the priority , even if we conceeded, these are the games we have been messing up, so win at any cost [not Injuries though]

Our home games recently have all been tight and we've conceded sloppy goals at bad times. If we keep a clean sheet today I've no doubt we win. If we get 2 goals we should absolutely win. We need more clean sheets if we want to sustain a push for europe.

We need to avoid the understandable temptation to go too attacking here, like we did with Newcastle.

Olsen

Holgate
Mina
Keane
Godfrey

Iwobi
Allan
Doucoure
Digne

Richy
King

Quite happy for us to win an uneventful game 1-0 or 2-0 than play wide open and into their hands.
Tom Davies has easily done enough to keep his place. Doubt Allan is fit, so Tom comes in your team.

This is a different Everton under Carlo, we'll deliver a controlled performance and come through by two goals 2-0/3-1.

Yes, we still have the off days, e.g. Newcastle, but there are far fewer than in previous seasons - we don't fail to win this one.

I think a lot of the off days we’ve had have been when we’ve tried to steamroller rubbish teams at home with an attacking selection and then looked disjointed.

We need a sensible, unsexy team selection from Carlo and if we get that I think we’ll edge the first 70 or so and then finish them off, hopefully in style.

A chance to go joint 4th and two games in hand in February. Whens the last time we were in this healthy of a position in Feb?

Start Al on the bench - get 20 mins in the legs if we're winning and in control, which I hope we will be.

I also hope king starts and Richy plays at centre firework, just in case DCL is out for a bit longer.

Cmon lads, let's smash em.
