The longer the game goes without us winning, the more chance we have of losing. Some of our players will be very tired from the last game. Need to rotate some fresh legs in and bring off our better players as soon as Carlo feels we can see it out.
whoa.webp

This is a different Everton under Carlo, we'll deliver a controlled performance and come through by two goals 2-0/3-1.

Yes, we still have the off days, e.g. Newcastle, but there are far fewer than in previous seasons - we don't fail to win this one.

COYB

All teams but City are having these, reckon it will be a few more games before we have our next one.

Huh?

Last time I checked every game is worth 3 points.

But I suspect, you know this and are being sarcastic?
No its not...every game you win gets you three points. For what you say to be true, there would be 5 points available if you beat the better teams. Similarly every game you lose is three points lost.

Right, so let’s go back to 04/05

at the time each game kicked off, you reckon the Newcastle game was of Just the same importance as the Arsenal one after it?

They were both worth 3pts, so just the same as each other eh?

Context matters.

I'd play, with a view to resting some of these on Wednesday / having them play 60 minutes here and 30 minutes on Wednesday, the following:

Olsen
Coleman Godfrey Keane Digne
Doucouré Davies Sigurdsson
James Richi King

Get Allan on for Doucouré, Bernard for James and Mina for Godfrey on 60.

Coleman has to play for me, while I tend to prefer Holgate or Godfrey at RB these days, in a game were we will be taking the game to the opposition, we really need a bit more attacking prowess coming from our fullbacks.

Right, so let’s go back to 04/05
Lets not, I dont even remember 4pm til 5pm yesterday.

Im honestly not sure what point you are trying to make, we play 3 games this week, each 1 gives us 3 points for a victory.

Of course a win against City and Liverpool means "more" to us as fans and it sends a different message than beating Fulham at home, but each game only gives us 3 points and at the end of the season we are judged on our points total, not beating Fulham at home or beating City or Liverpool.
