What does this even mean? I've seen it a few times recently and in all my years and years of watching and playing football I've never heard it before.

To the point of responsibility, I'm sure Carlo told Holgate to be a liability and a fair few players such as Gomes to play horrendously.

Like I said, I'm not saying he's blameless - far from it - but primarily I don't think we're losing as we've tactically outclassed; we've just not turned up, at all.

It means you don’t start pressing the ball until the opposition are in your half. Even at that it’s not a proper press it’s cutting off angles which in our case is to try force the opposition to play through the middle. Works in chess, not in football
