Keane's ridiculous slide in the box almost cost us a goal and some of the positioning and defensive decision making wasn't great at times. But overall, we were the better team and deserved the win. Davies played alright, Gana was great, but you can see what happens when Gana gets caught up or doesn't win a ball on a counter, it gets ugly.

Really think Mina could eventually be a difference maker and Gomes will help us a bit as well, especially on set pieces. Mitrovic is the perfect player for our CBs to defend against. Big, slow, medicore movement, our guys could knock him off the ball no problem.

Walcott played better today and frankly, an inquest needs to be made at the abuse that Richarlison is taking. It's just ridiculous. Seri deserved a red for his forearm shiver on Siggy and there should've been quite a few more yellows early.

My ratings, if anyone cares (obviously just my opinion, sure others will think differently!).

Pickford - 7 - Clean sheet, made a really important claim on Vietto and looked less nervy on the ball.
Kenny - 7 - Thought he was excellent going forward, and defended well too.
Keane - 7 - Looks a completely different player. Actually organised the defence well.
Zouma - 7 - Quick across the ground and really strong in the air.
Digne - 6 - Put in a really good ball from that free-kick. Thought he was relatively quiet but still solid. Glad we've got this position sorted, finally.
Davies - 6 - Sloppy on the ball at times, but at other times used it really well. He's growing and developing as a person and a player, and doing it well.
Gueye - 7 - Very impressive defensively again. Got about and tidied everything up, which is what we all know his role should be.
Walcott - 6 - Great cross for the assist for Tosun. Quiet game otherwise but his pace is always a threat.
Sigurdsson - 8 - Crap penalty, but thought he played really well in the 2nd half. Two quality goals and was key to all of our attacking play in the final third (again, the job he was brought in to do!)
Richarlison - 7 - Bright in the first half but faded a bit in the second. Still a constant threat with his skill and pace and power.
DCL - 5 - Poor on the ball but made some good runs and won the penalty.

Tosun - 7 - Right place, right time, good header. Good movement for the third goal as well.
Bernard - 7 - Not long enough to judge but his run, turn and assist were sublime.
Schneiderlin - n/a

It's funny how people see the game so differently. I genuinely though digne was our best player on the pitch. Haha. Weird.

Weldone to tosun on getting his goal today hope he pushes on now coz dcl is pants and how is Davies captain
DCL won a penalty (not his fault it wasn't converted) and Tom Davies is captain because the manager says so. DCL being picked to start has given Cenk Tosun more incentive to do well, it's called "competition for places". Any more soft questions?

Much needed confidence boost for the players. Just get the feeling they have been bottling it more and more this season. Evidenced by the penalty miss and the poor, indecisiveness of many on the pitch in this and previous games.
The return of Richarlison and Kean made a difference, and helped us squeeze out what ended up being a three goal win, but not a comfortable one.
We need to build on this, and sort out the shortcomings.
Not a comfortable win? You were at a different game than me. They had a few chances, but our keeper made one save of note, and that was an outstanding rush from his line as opposed to stopping a shot on target. The Sessegnon shot aside they didn’t threaten. We in contrast, controlled the game, scored three and missed a penalty. It was as comfortable a win as I can recall at Goodison for a good while.
