Once we went 2-0 up it knocked the air right out of Huddersfield. From then on they resorted to lumping it up field which we dealt with comfortably all day.

If we work on being able to frustrate our opponents regularly we could be on to something.

..we’ve beaten two poor teams who are down there. Those two fixtures were massive. The big test is when we’re difficult to beat against somebody decent.
It was a win which at this stage is the most important matter.

As you say, these were two home games against poor teams, and it was important that we took this opportunity to stop the rot, shore up the defence, get a bit of confidence back and most importantly get some points on the board. We've done that and now we need to see if we can use it as a springboard to get our season back on track.

Whilst you could see improvements in our defensive play, you have to bear in mind that we were up against much inferior attacks than in previous matches (Southampton game apart which was just a disgraceful defensive display). Plus our play in possession still looks very disjointed, especially in that first half.

There is a lot of work still to be done, but we did what we had to do over those two matches so well done blues.

Liverpool away next up and Chelsea round the corner in the not too distant future but very winnable games against Newcastle, Swansea, Bournemouth and West Brom to come all in our next 6 games. 4 wins in those games and we will be virtually safe.

This from a Young man with little experience at this level, playing in a team playing poorly all season and offering Little at either end of the pitch.

Yet many were writing him off completely as sub standard.

He is not good enough at the moment, scoring goals w

DCL tries hard. But if we keep him as our starting striker we will stay as a plucky bottom half quality prem team having to rely on what quality we have in mid field to actually score the goals. Good guy, and may turn out to be great in a few years, just not now.

We may well have played at close the top of our game today and midweek and happy to take the victories.
I doubt we have enough to impact at the pit and others from the Sky6 , but I will take a change of attitude for a start.
We have had too many players playing without confidence and if we can sustain that through thick and thin, we will be ok.
The defence still worries me, but it has been much better protected the last two matches.

Enjoyed how after we scored a goal, every attacker suddenly became Messi with back heels and flicks all over the place. Good all around second half.
