I’m not his best fan but has far more creativity and flair than DCL. And can actually switch play
I can see it, yeah but Hudds were a hard team to break down, I just dont see Dowell being that grenade to break em. Lovely looking player on the ball but needs an age to do anything on it. He needs to bulk up and get some urgency in his play.
That said, Always like your posts chris...

Total garbo today, our injury list means we're basically left with all the same crappers who played last season, rather telling that our best players today were Zouma and Digne.

Im not going to go overboard with criticism, DcL is horrendous on that left side but he's only there out of necessity. I have a lot of hope for this team once we can get Richarlison, Bernard and Gomes into it. Hopefully Mina helps us sort out this set piece problem.

I feel sorry for Tosun. 3 of our better players in Sigurdsson, Coleman and Walcott (to a lesser extent) were well below par today and his service was non existent.

The international break is coming at a good time for us.

The added time said it all. Five minutes to pin them back and we didn't threaten to get into their penalty area. Not even once.

Hugely disappointing performance and result albeit to be seen in the context of injuries and the transitional period ongoing.

The international break will do us no harm. Silva’s honeymoon period is now over you feel.

The biggest concern apart from the cheap goals was the lack of intensity today and from the usual suspects. We don’t have enough quality so without intensity to our passing and movement we simply haven’t enough to turn draws into wins.

We badly need Gomes and Bernard in there to offer a bit of guile.

Overall disappointing given the decent run of games. A win today would have kept the sense of momentum going but drawing means it’s no better than an average start fitting for a side likely to finish not much better than last season.

Silva has been very unlucky so far though with injuries and dismissals. I’m sure he would also have wanted the new signings in earlier but at least we got them and they’ll come in. Digne and Richarlison already made a great impact.

He needs the whole season to assess and refine, and to be backed for the next few windows. Whilst today is very disappointing, overall things are not much different from where I thought they’d be.

I’m sure this is in jest, because he was absolute turd. Not good enough for Norwich but good enough for us? No thanks.
Nope, no Jests. He was our albino prince and I rue the day he left. A pitbull of a man, dinky but aggresive as hell....great lad in "reallife" too. I wish he was back. I love him and his crazy non existent eyebrows.

Apart from a couple of seasons we’ve been a mediocre side for over thirty years. A couple of signings was never going to change that.

Getting us into the top 6 will be a long and arduous process.
