No team can get as many injuries as Everton have had this season to key players and expect to stay up.

If we do stay up it will be a miracle.
The only positive there's still a hefty chunk of the season left so if we can just get some players to fully recuperate like doucoure and just have to maintain their health. Also gives the two new fbs time to adapt so they can be potential assets. I can see us hobbling through the season with just enough quality to avert relegation. The only caveat it leaves us with plenty of time to accrue new injuries. It's imperative that we get the medical staff issues remedied swiftly as possible. It seems like a lot teams this season have been encountering injury crises but their better equipped squadwise to weather the adversity

Lampard has to change the attitude / mentality around the place, and that means dropping some people who are not going to have a long term future here and bringing in people who might.

Coleman cannot start again after yet another bad game, so that means Patterson gets to start whether they think he is "ready" or not. Townsend was terrible out of position vs Newcastle, so the only other alternative at LB is Kenny (who has played there in the past and who I think should be ahead of Coleman in the pecking order anyway). Holgate and Keane are both having bad seasons but I think the jury is less out on Mason, so he should get the choice with Branthwaite as the other CB especially as he has more pace which will be important against James.

The midfield sort of picks itself (given that beyond those three its kids) but it has to be a three almost all the time anyway, but especially against these. Up front we need pace and guile - Gordon does not deserve to lose his place, DCL if fit has to start too and Alli did nothing to suggest he should start ahead of Richy.
You want the back four to be...

Patterson Holgate Branthwaite Kenny

Christ we are in trouble. Not having a go BTW, there's no right choice ?

Just don’t get the logic in this at all. We employ some truly thick people at this club don’t we.
To be honest nobody has probably told Frank about him. Probably genuinely thinks we have nobody on the books who plays left back. Most likely he'll be told after our relegation is confirmed, and he'll recall him with a few games to play as to bed him in early for next season.

I do - we can't start Coleman again, and the centre-backs come down to three of which one (Keane) is at his worst against small fast players.

Basically we are screwed. Maybe we can use iwobi as shock effect and install him as lwb. That should give us about 10 minutes as Leeds gathers themselves laughing till it hurts their sides. Put some manitol on the place where bielsa will be squatting and so he will have to tend to himself a wee bit in the dressing room.

Listening to the presser made me think... what about;
Pickford
Coleman - Keane - Holgate
Patterson - VDB - Allan - Townsend
Gordon - DCL - Richarlison
Pretty close to mine.

Think he'll stick with 3-4-3. Holgate/Kenny gives us some defensive protection against Raphina.

Pickford
Coleman, Keane, Holgate
Patterson, VDB, Allan, Kenny
Gordon, DCL, Richarlison
