We had our chances but we were never totally convincing & got overrun by a determined & energetic young team...

We could not keep the ball & control midfield & allowed Leeds to boss the game..

Neither side had the quality to take their chances & the game could have gone either way, although the away side squeezed a long shot thru Godfreys legs low into the corner of Pickfords goal...
 

So last point about the game..
.. we could have won
.. Doucoure misses a sitter trying to be cute
.. 2 offside goals
.. Richy still has not found his scoring boots
.. we opened them up like sardines and genuinely believe with Digne in the side we would have murdered them.. he wasn’t ..
.. Carlo needs a long hard look in the mirror
.. we are so sloppy.. still can’t get my head around it. It will keep on hurting us.

That's strange. I literally posted we had two goals chalked off and it was end to end. But somehow because I said Leeds were outstanding, that is "self depreciation?"

I didn't think we were bad. Thats why I said I'm not going to post any fickle nonsense.

I don't understand fans like you who get so upset about praising the other team. Giving the other team credit is not "self depreciation"

Since Everton last won a trophy in 1995, these clubs have lifted major trophies yet we have just 1 FA Cup final appearance.........

We look like we are in preseason, so sloppy, so much lack of intensity and quick play. Unfortunately Carlo got it wrong today not just with the selection (including bench) but also the subs requiring a constant shape change.

I don't know why people are questioning the Godfrey offside. He was in an offside position when the ball was hit, he then makes an attempt to head the ball meaning he's interfering in play, even if he hadn't tried to head it I think it would have still been given offside because Godfrey was standing in front of your keeper, so again was interfering with play.
