Massive game this i expect this everton team to turn up. Us fans have give this team so much, just really hope the Dominic Calvert-Lewin rumours not trie and he is it. Do feel we need get more pace in the team. Would like godfrey at lb and garner i would like bring back into the team have him be in the middle of the mid 3 let gana and onana go after ball
I agree Godfrey should play. Left back is probably the best position because Mick O'Lenko isn't pulling up any trees

How do you explain then the well earned and deserved win over Arsenal?

The team you described above doesn't get a sniff against an Arsenal team hunting down their first title in decades.

I think we're capable when focussed and keeping shape of getting the required wins we need.

Yes, Arsenal and Leeds and others wont be the same test, but if Dyche gets a settled pattern of play from this team that becomes our way of playing and consistently applied we stand every chance of surviving.

It's really not hard to imagine Everton on Saturday night out of the relegation zone and in 16th with 2 wins from 3 and looking like one of the more dynamic units down there in the bottom 6 or so.

Wins change outlook. Get one on Saturday and the club will be buzzing just as it was after the Arsenal win.
New manager bounce Dave, but Monday night has finished that, and the fact that Arsenal were very poor on the day and allowed our midfield to bully them. Add to this the fact that once Calvert Lewin went off we struggled as the only way we can getup the pitch is by having a big target man who will win flicks on or hold the ball up.

Our failure to bring in a target man during the past two windows will, I think, relegate us. Still 'Big Kev' doing bits hey.

The target man situation will dog us to the end of the season. However, I think there's a tendency to underplay the terrible striker departments of other teams around us. Rodrigo at Leeds is about the only class finisher in the bottom 6 / 7 teams and he's out for a few weeks to come. There's no one rattling them in for our opponents down there.

Why did Monday night finish it?

A new manager bounce is just someone coming in with fresh eyes, changing the tactics, switching up the lineup a bit and the players getting a second chance. Losing in our annual toughest away fixture doesn’t change the fact we played the best we had all season last time out at Goodison, got the crowd behind the players and beat the best team in the league.

Dyche will be putting the team out to do exactly the same again, get the ball forward quick, press high, double up on the wings and keep it tight and he’ll be reminding the players that if they can do it against top of the table one defeat all season arsenal, they can damn well do it against Leeds.

Gnonto is great finisher

True Dave, but, our rivals have that bit of something about them that allows them to get up the pitch and take pressure of their defence. We, on the other hand, look threatening only from set pieces and if we lose possession of the ball at the set piece we are immediately under pressure due to our lack of pace.

I believe that Southampton and Bournemouth will go and I really believe we will go with them. I just don't see the other teams around us taking less points than we will between now and the end of the season.

That's ironed out through better organisation.

Believe me, when we beat Leeds you'll reflect on 2 wins in 3 games and start to question your own analysis and assumptions concerning what we can still achieve.

New manager bounce is the lift in confidence that the players get when a new manager comes in. Losing on Monday is not the salient point here, it is the manner in which we lost. What you described is a better manager with better tactics coming in and making improvements and Dyche is, undoubtedly, a better manager, however, the only way he gets a tune out of this team is with a target man. From the hour mark against Arsenal after Calvert Lewin went off we struggled to get up the pitch, likewise against Liverpool we struggled to getup the pitch.

I don't doubt that Dyche would have had a good chance of keeping us up had we brought in a target man during the past two windows, but, as we didn't, his chances are linked to how many games we can get Calvert Lewin fit for. Good luck with that.

Dave, I will be delighted to be proved wrong, believe me.
It's not a matter of who's right or wrong. The questioning of our team is justified. I just think that in times like these we tend to throw the baby out with the bath water and forget that we still have a team that can beat the best as well as cave in to the worst teams and that there's a happy medium we can aspire easily enough to over 16 games to get out of this mess.

Will struggle to get the ball forward quick without DCL which throws his gameplan out the window. Hopefully can adapt with someone like Gray up top

Exactly look at the amount of chances Leeds created at old Trafford compared to the amount we created at anfield.
