Simms barely had a kick against the RS because we barely played any football and whenever he won a flick or brought it down there was nobody near him. If Doucoure and Onana play more like against Arsenal and McNeil and Iwobi push up more too I’m hoping based off his frame he can be at a similar level to what Anichebe used to do for us. I think it’d be silly to expect too much from the lad but big Vic used to put himself about, hold it up when he could and went on a couple of decent scoring runs too.
Won plenty of headers but nobody anywhere near him. He was on a hiding to nothing. Our tactics were woeful which was hopefully more to do with the players just not coping with the occasion than it being down to Dyche wanting to set us up like that. If we play 4-5-1 then they have to be closer to the front man. This game for me will dictate whether we go down or not. We’re at home, they’re managerless and [Poor language removed]. If we can’t win this then I can’t see us staying up. Even a draw isn’t good enough.

Completely agree and I think it was our players not coping with the occasion and reverting to what they were doing before. There’s no way Dyche’s instructions were to have all four of Doucoure, Onana, McNeil and Iwobi that far away from Simms and he will be telling them to be fearless in these positions and take more risks getting forward. Liverpool only hit us with one successful counter attack from open play all game at Anfield, Leeds away are not the same thing, our back four plus Gana should be able to limit them to minimal chances allowing the rest to push up.

This is a must win game for us if we are to stay up. The Arsenal result has given us hope that we might dig ourselves out of the hole we dug ourselves, but we have to win our home games to get out of it. Hoping for another good effort, not worried about being entertaining, just get the 3 points.

What's worrying is we had 90 mins of them possibly not following the manager's instructions. He needs to address that immediately. If players can't or won't do as they are told then they shouldn't play. Liverpool's counter-attack was top draw but shouldn't have been a surprise to us. Pickford's random walkabout also aided them in making it look better than it was. I'll give them one game against the RS where they were overwhelmed because lets face it we've had decades of it with much better teams going there and losing. But there's no excuse against Leeds. like I said I think this will be the real indicator of whether Dyche can get a tune out of them.

Was just gonna tag him with 'THAT'S how to preview...'

All these years letting the riff-raff churn out tiresome previews and he casually strolls in and drops that. Amazing.
And he puts the date and time in the title.

It's like watching a corner from 84/85. How the hell is it so effective and simple and yet it happens so rarely.

He's a sensitive soul really so we should be nice sometimes to encourage him to write more for the front page. He brings all his Twitter best friends over.

@chicoazul Any chance of a Leeds or Villa preview?

Who’d want to write about Everton right now? I’ll see if I can do something small today since you and you only were pleasant towards me.

Got to win. Simple as.

If we are to save ourselves, we won't be doing it by losing games against our direct rivals. Now, given we stuck far too long with Lampard, we can't even allow ourselves the luxury of not losing. This is an opportunity to win three points and prevent a direct rival from taking any. Must win.

We have to score first.
Our wonderful boys in blue have nothing in them to come back from a goal down. (Prove me wrong - players! It's totally up to you lot!).
I hope they don't have to because we score first. Thing is, we score first quite a bit and still lose, so there is that...

Has aome big choices to make on sat now ith dcl out. Go to 442, keep 433 and who comes in .simms maupat as two, gray and if gets pace at fb.
