We still need to try and get as many points as we can between now and May, even if 7th is the limit.

There has been too much drift this season, I expected an improvement and a sense of momentum, however poor the squad is.

The damage was done in August, we needed another 4 or 5 players in by TDD.

So for several reasons the season will be a free pass for Koeman.

Whilst I expect another signing or two this month, it's the summer when the crucial business will have to get done.

We really have to be ready to make signings in July and be ready to go in August, there has been enough talking and precious little of anything else.

Sigh, i'd just about give anything to see the players trotting around Wembley proudly parading a trophy again. I'm fortunate enough to just about remember us in 95, but it's the generations following mine that have never ever seen us win a trophy that I feel for. It's all well and good hearing storied from your Dad like I did about how good the 80's were, the newer generations of blues must think it was fiction.

I might be a bit mad but i'd honestly take a 17th place finish if it meant getting some silverware.

Don't know about the last bit so much- I was fuming with how last season was going, even if we had won a cup. Otherwise, spot on. The winning mentality just isn't present and hasn't been in the club since Royle left. Decades back and I can barely remember that time. Wholesale changes needed as even retaining the core of this team will mean there is still that defeatist mentality present. Where to start though!?

Koeman has took the domestic ups to a new low, Moyes and Martinez at least in the main got us past the 3rd round.

Ffs we were playing a prem team, a team that spent big to get options in the final third. It paid off today.

ha ha ha. Calm down. Negotiations for players are not 5 minute jobs. Got to agree fees, got to agree personal terms. Who did you expect in to help us in the FA cup tie. Morgan Sghw etc hasn't played for ages so wouldn't have even started. Don't exactly know when we are allowed to approach clubs and players but I certainly know transfers are not 5 minute jobs.

Also there's so much of Martinez's dead wood to shift, getting player gone help make the space for new ones financially and in the squad.

Apart from owt else you at least see Everton win four games on the way to the semi.

But the absolute worst about going out at the first attempt is we now have at least two blank weekends in the next five or six weeks,

I know. All 3 are brutal. Cleverley.. He is utter rubbish but he can move around. Barry is utter rubbish who cant move. When barry plays our intensity goes and results have proven that. At least cleverley hasnt been playing all season when we lose. At least he has that in his locker
