Me too. Makes no sense. "He's a good shot stopper". Isn't that the absolute minimum requirement of a goalkeeper? He's a genuine liability. All keepers make mistakes that cost points but pickford is consistent in it.
You stated the main issue with Pickford, he is regularly making mistakes and has become a liability to our team success. Ancelotti needs to address this burden.

Ahh mate, defenders defended brilliantly, but it was all last ditch throw your body at the ball stuff. We cant sustain that for 90mins without being lucky.
I think even the side we had out tonight are a very decent side but we sat back and allowed leicester to swarm us for probably 70mins and due to our shape offered nothing going forward for most of the game.
I realise we couldve won it at the end through Dom, richy or andre but it was too little too late.
I just dont see other 'top 6' contenders play like this and rely on bags of luck at home.
I trust Carlo, not you

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti to BBC Sport:
I'm happy with the draw. The result is fair. We had an opportunity at the end to win but the result is fair. It’s a good point for us.

"They are a good team. We defended well. We could have had more control of the ball.

"Spirit is good. Condition is good. We are in the right way. Everywhere, unpredictable results."

On James Rodriguez scoring with his right foot: "Surprise. I don’t remember him scoring with his right foot before. It was really fantastic."

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to BT Sport:
It was a tough game. I thought we defended more than we attacked, we did quite well and it's a good point.

"We didn't have the control that we wanted when they equalised, the game was more in their control but the point was fair.

"It wasn't that we defended too deep, it was the fact we didn't quite have the quality after they equalised.

"I said two weeks ago this is an unpredictable league, unbelievable. There are good games and hard games - we played against Sheffield United, who are at the bottom, and had problems. It's a really exciting Premier League."

On Jordan Pickford: "This is not the right place to talk about this. He can do better but it doesn't matter."

On James Rodriguez's goal: "It was unbelievable. We're not used to seeing him score with the right!"
Someone needs to tell him the game last for 90 minutes plus his keepers crap and needs dropping for a while .......

Off to bed.. hopefully I will wake up happier with the point... thing is this type of strategy is a pet hate for me. To me its a small team mindset that's just hoping to keep up with the big boys.. and the more it worked the more we do it.. even against team that don't deserve it.
We now saying how much better Leicester are.. don't buy it. What is better is the intent and belief.
Anyways.. voted for Digne.. onwards to Newcastle

Our gameplan was very clear (alas a bit boring and 'negative') and we executed it absolutely fine. Three points are ours if we had a competent goalie playing.

Leicester passed it about nice enough but our defence were absolutely solid and they created very little openings. A very organised defensive display completely let down by a disastrous, unreliable goalkeeper.
No, our defence was OK, awful keeper and inept midfield. We were awful and got away with it.

The locked up football grounds is a terrible thing which we all wish would end as soon as possible. But imagine struggling home in the pouring rain after watching that utter crap from Everton. I exclude the heroic defenders of course, they did their job, except for one lapse of concentration. Good day for Pope? 3 points and the England shirt.

Good performances from Keane,Godfrey,James & Davies...

We take a point from a game we were outplayed for most part but could have edged it with a victory with the better chances particularly at the end...

Pickford shows his vulnerability again with a panic push for a corner & fumbling a shot that should have been comfortably saved...

Makes the Newcastle game a must win if we want to keep the pressure on & get into Europe next season...

It just occurred to me that there are a lot of young posters on here who have never really seen dark times as an EFC fan.
You might look back on these current times in the distant future as the 'good' times.

Enjoy the ride lads :)

We are so near and yet so far.

The main thing is Carlo knows we're not that good, and he knows what needs to improve, which he will do over the summer given the requisite funds and ability to move some players on. We're not playing that differently than we did under Allardyce but when he had 7 or 8 games at the end of the season to show he could play differently he couldn't do it. Carlo is cutting his cloth, and the football will improve as the squad changes.

Weird game.

We looked comfortable but came out second half and invited them on. Think they would have scored anyway without old T Rex arms.

Could have won it in the end and had the better chances.

Jameth mom for me. Game was littered with his great touches and vision, started to feel himself after the goal. Everything good we did came through him.

Andre Gomes and Tom D get a mention too for some industrious work in the middle of the park and some good custody of the ball at times.

Surely Olsen deserves a run in net now?
