Another great writeup, Chico. I especially love all the b&w photos and the quip about the Matalan suit, ace!
It's going to be tough, this one, and i'm nervous, and will have to steady myself with a few beers. I bought some interesting sounding Garlic Beer on a trip to Cornwall over Easter, so maybe that will help to keep the evil spirits at bay!
I just hope all our lads can stay on the pitch. I'm especially worried about Cahill, Drenthe and Fellaini, potential hotheads, and am also dismayed that Jelavic seems to have been learning some of Sua*ez's tricks (and no doubt that sh*t will be doing its best to get some of our lads sent off). You're better than that, Nikica, remember you're a blue not a RS.
I'm also worried that the RS will themselves have become the 'underdogs' in some peoples' eyes due to their first and second choice keepers having been banned, and of course they will get the sympathy vote from a lot of the non-partisans because of the anniversary of Hillsborough. Many people will be willing them to win in commemoration of the dead, and this will count against us.
We have a strong squad now though, who are in great form, so this is an especially good opportunity to do them. If it was purely on form and squad strength i'd say a win for us would be a sure bet, but of course this is the FA Cup and we're playing the jammy RS. Let's just hope our lads live up to the occasion, in terms of footballing quality, mental attitude and emotional maturity when the temptation to dive or lash out is strong.
I'll be watching this on t.v. and won't be going anywhere near my pc, otherwise i'll miss half the match writing and reading messages on here! Will possibly be back after the match or tomorrow, depending on how sick or elated i feel! Enjoy it guys. For all we have criticised Davey, he deserves a trophy as much as us long-suffering fans.
