Decent half. Shame we couldn't have got ourselves a goal early on, but it was great to see us leap out of the blocks.

Great first 20-odd minutes in terms of shape and pressing, quite poor last 20-odd.

Half time has come at a good time for us. The atmosphere will reignite at some point in the second half as long as we don't do anything stupid early on.

Low quality game. We can definitely nick this second half if we go for it though. These are not a great side by any stretch, clearly.

Our front three have been woeful. The defence and midfield have worked so hard to make things happen, it must be so disheartening to have Lukaku and Barkley linking up Liverpool's play

first 20 minutes superb, following 25 minutes more even. Mccarthy, Gueye and Coleman superb and the rest of the backline and Lennon doing well. Biggest culprits and it usually is, is up top again. Barkley just hasn't looked after the ball well enough, Valencia is working hard but sloppy with the ball and Lukaku might as well be a concrete block with the ball just bouncing off him and lack of movement. He's got to do more against that backline because a Lukaku who is arsed and in the mood can basically win this game by himself.

Need to start the 2nd half the way we started the 1st and get stuck in again, they were rattled and I've never seen Firminho have to defend so much to help Milner out those first 20 minutes.

Well done. Showed great energy and aggression just lacked that quality in Barkley and Valencia.
Tired a little as it went on but certainly the better team.
