Initial reaction yesterday was that Pickford should have been sent off.. but having thought about it I'm not so sure.. VVD was offside so from then football rules stop.. what happened was foul play not violent conduct big difference if one of our defenders had got the ball and picked it up that would be a red card and a penalty as handball is foul play but the offside would mean the the handball never happened and there wouldn't be anyone complaining.. only complaining because someone got injured.
