22 years ago a 1-1 draw stopped Liverpool going joint top with Manchester United, the rival they would lose to at Anfield the following weekend. This outcome moved Everton into twelfth position; one which came amidst an eleven-year period when Liverpool were unable to win at all at Goodison Park, a venue where they were often outmuscled – which certainly hasn’t been the case for the last nine seasons. Simon Hughes in the Independent

Tomorrow, Liverpool may again be playing to go to the top of the table, while we are again in mid-table - ninth on goal difference this morning. I would love a win but, in the circumstances, I would accept a 1-1 draw.

A repeat of the 4-4 would be ideal for a draw, with us equalizing four times again. It finished Dalglish off, and Klopp would spit all his shiny teeth out. I'll stick with my 2-1 win prediction though.

11 years without a win at goodison? over to you Marco.

I was thinking more our inner Sergio Ramos. Whatever, a little bit of snide wouldn’t go amiss.
Strange thing gareth barry getting stuck in last night.
When we played the rs never see that in fact when slippy lunged into him I'm sure he ,barry, apologised.
Jamie "spit" was right, to much mates attitude in our team.

I heard on a podcast that Liverpool's total points at this stage of the season is higher than Everton's total points at the end of the season in 24 of the last 25 years. Surely, that can't be right?

....i’ll be happy if its 0-0 with 20mins to go.

It's been like that a few times though and we still haven't been able to score. Liverpool have done us in the last minute on 3 occasions of recent memory. Mane, VVD, Origi. If it's 0-0 at 70 minutes I would be more concerned Liverpool would snatch it. If we are winning 1-0 on 70 I would feel a bit more encouraged.
