Hopefully midfield is Gueye Davies Rooney. It’s the only one that’s remotely worked this season. Walcott Tosun Bolasie i’d Imagine upfront although I wouldn’t put it past Allardyce to shoe horn Calvert Lewin in one of the wide positions.

The last thing I would predict is a win for us on the basis of that lot playing a midweek game and a player or two down - usually means we get beat because our exceptions have been raised.

I,d like to see us go play high tempo, snap legs from the start and then see if we can hold on to a narrow lead

When you think about it it was a close game in the cup and in the league fixture at Anfield, although the latter not so much, and then we didn’t have Tosun or Walcott. Hopefully those players are the difference

Genuinely think they'll smash us with their B team. Maybe not in the sense that it'll be 5-0 or something, but we'll no doubt put in a hugely pathetic performance and easily fall to a comprehensive two or three nil defeat. Surely, surely that will be enough to say goodbye to Sam, right? No? Thought not.

ffs.

We really are crap aren't we if that's the best we can offer? My Lord! Davies awful, Rooney finished years ago, Gueye can tackle and that's it.

Massive re-building needed in the summer, again. Left LB, new LW, new CB x2, new CM x2. And that's just for starting XI positions.
