Think a few defence mechanisms are kicking in on this thread.

I couldn't give a toss about the perceived lack of influence this result will have on the league table - it's a derby, hate is a strong word but I do hate the Kopites; and I badly want us to win. I'll be as disappointed if we lose this game as any other derby in years gone by.

Liverpool could put out their Under-18 side today for all I care, we just need to win. Not winning a derby since 2010 is utterly shameful, and we need to get that monkey off our back as soon as possible.

Them saying 'We beat yous even with our reserves HAHAHA' is a lot worse than 'oh we weren't arsed anyway'.

Yes there's not much riding on it at all but we haven't beat them since, 2010. Even just to stop that embarrassing stat continuing is reason for me to really want to do these today.

And very unlikely, but imagine a week were we beat them and City somehow find a way to claw it back.

Anyway Everton 0-2 Liverpool I reckon :D
 

Quite simply have to score the first goal. If I'm not mistaken Everton haven't done that in a league derby since the last win against them.
 
Any of you lads on the lash already to calm the nerves ? Had some mad Derby days against the 1992’ers up at 5 walking the dog then out at Riley’s snooker club for a pint at 7am on the vodkas by 11am lol
 

Massive boofest today lads will totally confuse the rs. They won't know who we are booing. Unless Williams starts.
 
I’m more scared that Mrs B won’t make it home from the chippy in time for kick off.
