I don't know what game you're watching but Kone is essential to every attacking move. He holds the ball up and controls it, has some good pace and takes pressure off Lukaku.

pot on its the gamble we cant protect both sides fullbacks and have any threat otherwise on the break, think weve gambeled that their right is weaker attacking wise and so far been right

Kone is really effective going forward, brings Barkley and Lukaku into the game. Tough for Galloway but he's come off with s clean sheet, I've seen Baines take worse than that.

Galloway hung out to dry today. RM obviously more worried about sterling. Swap Cleverley over to get some cover for browning and get a winger on in front of seamus to get stirling going the other way.

....game made for Lennon, doing what Cleverley is doing on the right. It'll be a gamble, but Mirallas or Deulofeu on the left will give us more balance going forward.

Thing is Cleverly is helping out Coleman very well quelling Sterlings threat and if we go for Mirallas or Del on that flank will they be able to do the same. We will offer more threat but will expose ourselves a bit more.

Kone has been excellent creatively...his close control is a big asset. Defensively there is a lot of pressure down our left...City obviously targetted Galloway. Martinez will sort this at half time.

Really doubt Browning would have done better. A 19 year old out of position against Man City, with no support ahead of him. Heck, Baines would have struggled there.

Basically can see how Baines would have done in the england italy game in that situation no fb in the world can get doubled up on consistantly and do well, for me Galloway actually played well as he could be expected to udner that pressure

Probably a good thing Galloway went off, he was our weak point and was constantly leaving us exposed.

Problem is he's been swapped out for a right back with 3 sub appearances to his name

Thing is I believe that start was Citys top gear. They started on fire but slowly but surely we began to dowse that fire. Not too bad a performance against a very good team.

they used a shedload of energy to pull us around that first 30 minutes mate as well, few older legs in their team such as toure may suffer later on
