At the end of the day if city don't overturn us when a few of our players will be in two minds as well as a lot of our fans and they have the title as motivation they don't deserve to win it. Look guys, I hate to say it - we blew it with the Palace and Soton defeats. End of. I had in fact resigned myself to Europa football after the Chelsea defeat in February.

Call me pessimistic, neg me all you like, I challenge anyone to say nobody else thought that.

I for one will welcome the now guaranteed return of European football to Goodison, it's been a dreadful four years out of it frankly.

I know what I'd rather have, a trip to far flung shores with amazing skirt, as opposed to our reserves bowing out on penalties at a rain soaked Mansfield or Colchester!

Fifth is basically ours and worst case we can bring through some fringe names and improve our European coefficient.
