Much rather this game be our last one rather than 2nd last. The title situation would be much clearer as would the 5th-6th spots.

I would love for us to deny THEM the title. However too many games left so it has to be Everton 1st and we need to secure our future by getting points this match and not rely on beating Hull - because if that happens the stars would align and we would miss out #Evertonthat hey Chico

However the repercussions of that will be felt long and hard by our lads especially those poor souls who will have to deal with the kopites frequently :(.

The gloating and patronising comments will be horrendous. Snide thanks for helping them win the title.

Regardless of what happens - always remember we are blessed to be Evertonians - for many of us could have but for good fortune been Kopites

Come on you boys in sky blue

Would be annoying if we won, feelings of what could have been. Would much rather finish 5 or so points behind so that I don't have feelings of what if we had turned up against the dross we've lost to.

Forgetting all this 'who do we want to win' I think we should remember that Man City are a very good team, with the best squad in the country.

It's like we have a choice if we win or not, they blew us away at the Etihad and even if we were playing at 100% going for 4th it's not inconceivable that they could do the same again.

Everton 1 Man City 3

Could never want Everton to lose regardless of what that result means for a certain other club.

2-1 Blues, reckon it will be a barnstormer of a game with City once more cracking in the Goodison heat.

Another boss preview Chico, il be there feeling slightly weird like most of us. Just knowing all the rs will be cheering us on in that patronising way they do makes me feel sick (I want Everton to get 4th blah blah) they didn't say that last year.

Anyway, enough about them I'm doing my own head in. COYB i think

2-1 and a palace result on monday please Jesus, tar lad

Look- this is going around in circles. We'll win/draw/lose. I think there would be ironic cheers if we lost but 1st & foremost we support our team. Well I do anyhow, if other Evertonians hope we lose this one game, so be it. We don't need our own fans telling others how to feel & what to do, particularly not in a patronising tone.

1st..

...to congratulate chico on this line, the gem from another boss preview;

'Seeing them sweating like their grid has been plastered all over the Echo’s Caught On Camera robbing packs of Wrigley’s Spearmint in the local Aldi has been the week’s beautiful moment.'

Spot on, made me laugh anyway.

Rarely we go into an Everton game where I can take positives from whatever the result is, but this is definately one.

Come on you....erm....Blues....

if Jagielka plays, we win....
if Alcaraz plays, we lose.....

that's my prediction......and pitch for new club motto....

If Liverpool do win the league at least we can say to them we are the ones that had to win it for them;

We won you the league, we won you the league
You're nothing special, we won you the league.

That's what my dad just said when I talked to him about it.

Says it'll be something he can always hold over them.
