my thoughts exactly. gave soft fouls their way throughout and none for us. then cavani gets away with a throat grab

you could see we were sitting back til the last 30 mins and it bit us on the arse trying to move forward.

some better placed passes and some shooting instead of passing it forever might have seen us have a different result.

One game too many for that squad, they were physically and mentally shot. Utd with 9 changes looked fresher and rightly so, they've spent a packet to have that squad depth.

Nonexcuses, we were dreadful and they deserved the win even with the diving and their should have been a red.

Godfrey with another good display, Olsen done well after a shaky start but my motm goes to Mina who was superb apart from one crappy lobbed ball to no man's land.

Absolutely gutted but we move on, rest up and pick ourselves up for Sheffield Utd away.

Don't be too harsh on the lads tonight, it was dreadful but we really are years behind having a squad where we can make 9 changes and still look like a PL outfit. Their forward line is Cavani, Rashfird, Martial, Ighalo, Greenwood.

Nightmare. have to say the seeds of defeat started with Carlo breaking up the back 4 from the last 3 games. But shitty play did not help.

Why is it he cannot see Gomes is yuk and Davies no matter what some folk may think is not good enough even to be in the squad. To pot Bernard on??? should have been Gordon. The problem is Carlo likes to look for experience rather than youth, which is also why plays Gomes and Siggy.

Best forget this game. Wonder what Carlo will say to cover this loss.

Forget that crap cup which will be got rid of within the next 5 years. More concerned now with richarlisons fitness ahead of what will be a sheff utd team well up for it and half our squad will be knackered.

Calvert lewin looked out on his feet there and I really fear that the implications of fielding our strongest 11 there will be costly, particularly for our next 2 games.
