Same as against Arsenal IMO.

The games to rotate are Sheff Utd and City, for a multitude of reasons.

Primarily, we can't be just looking to sit deep and counter Sheff Utd and expect to get anything. The onus will be on us to create and hopefully James comes back fit for that game - at least on the bench. That's when I'd be looking for us to play Gordon/Bernard etc, rotate out Dom or Rich (one starts up top, other on the bench).

Im surprised by Ole's suggestion that it seems he is going to play mostly the 2nd team. Obviously they are on good form, and seeing the league table with potential of a title challenge. Personally that isn't really a possibility. But even so United like us are enjoying post their CL exit with the lack of fixtures to juggle compared to the top league counterparts. Like us this isn't a big ask to see out the end of a possible 3 games in the attempt to a trophy. Wont complain as it only helps our odds. Still quality opposition but Everton should capitalize.

He probably knows we are in good form and it’s going to to a tough task with a first team. Of his first team get dumped out he might think the pressure will be back on. But he can get a pass here if he sends to b team out.

Beating Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal an man United all in a row must go down as our most impressive run in a premier league era surely?

Sounds very much like Manchester United will rest some players.

If it's true, their 2nd team will still be formidable. Henderson, Bailly, Telles, Pogba, Mata, Greenwood, James, Cavani and more. I expect a hard game, and everyone has to have a very good night to see us through to the semis. With a little luck as well, it just may well happen.

Seriously good news if they're going to heavily rotate.

I'm mainly just arsed about Fernandes like. If he's not starting, we could be in business. That said, their better players will give them a seriously good bench to use.

I do enjoys these periods where there's no way of knowing what to expect from Everton.

Neither a comfortable win nor a bit a of a hiding would come as a shock.

Very exciting.
