I kinda hate the “Holgate in midfield” shouts but I’d take it at this point if it gets Gomes off the pitch.

Shocking first 25-30 minutes. Have settled, but I don't like the lack of energy in midfield. Would take Gomes off

Holgate in for him and we have a base to release Richy and Iwobi.

...well, well amazingly we’ve rode our luck and it’s still 0-0 so let’s hope our name is on it.

Gomes is a big problem as he just can’t pick up his runners. It must be great playing against him knowing he can’t track you, our problem is he’s there to keep possession and turn defence into attack and we haven’t got a true alternative.

Lets hope the inevitable doesn’t happen and it’s just one of those games.

Sigurdsson isn't the problem here, it's Gomez.Nice lad and all that but he moves like a snail, Can't tackle and tonbe honest can beat a man anymore and 90% or his passes go sideways or backwards. Davies or even Holgate needed to give more legs to the midfield. Doucoure is doing the work of 2.

Sigurdsson surely our best player that half? Certainly been the most efficient on the ball and actually pressing when they've got it.
