When the players and management look back over the videos of the Fulham and Newcastle games they must be mortified of how bad they'd perform. I wonder how is taking ownership of those calamities?
I would love to hear those conversations. You’d have thought after the Newcastle game there were some very strong conversations had but then to go and do it all again against Fulham is just not on. I do wonder if the modern day footballer is spared the hammering that they would’ve got 15 years ago a bit too much maybe? You can’t imagine a Moyes side showing that little fight in games so close to each other.

Unfortunately I fear there aren't that many repercussions that can be felt within the squad after such a bad performance. It's not as if Carlo can turn around and tell Richarlison "continue playing like this and you'll be out of the team" --> because there is no replacement. Same can be said for most of the players. We've been badly let down by Brands and those responsible for recruiting. The opportunity was there to mount a serious top 4 bid this season but we've, in true Everton style, mucked it up.

It’s going to take time to sort the squad sadly. That being said, win 3 or 4 games on the bounce this season and we’ll be right back in the mix for top 4. I don’t think we have the quality to get there this season but things have been so crazy you just never know.

Tbf if we lose tonight we're still only five points of 4th with a game in hand. I'm not sure how recruitment let us down though? More just injuries and the fact FFP constrains us?

Be telling this performance tonight, how dare they put so little effort in again. Regardless of result because it's still a very good city side, we deserve a reaction from these players. I can't stand watching another 90 like Toon and Fulham but let's not kid ourselves we've been almost as bad in quite a few games.

We demand better, yes demand, because it really hasn't been good enough.
