Davek, I think you've missed the point, big time. You do realise that we won today don't you?

I'm happy aren't you? the other stuff can wait for much later, but you really are the original party pooper.

The three points get us nowhere. I'd love to say we achieved something today, but we didn't...unless we as a club are reduced to celebrating a win over the new big boys?

Its a depressing point to make that was made about 2months back. Its true. We aint going anywhere. But we might as well just stop supporting em if every game needs to be meaningful in terms of league position or winning silverware.

There's a bit of pride in the this game, more than league positions etc. Their fans want to smash our little club all over the shop each season as much as we want to do there massive club.

Enjoy it for some bragging rights.

But you celebrate nothing and personally i will always celebrate a everton victory as i support them. If you don't want to celebrate fine. Also we have achieved something as we have proven again that Everton do have something, yes there are things not right at the club yet everything is not wrong, ie moyes and the playing staff have proven that they can beat these teams who are fighting for leagues and cup. Yes we know we need more consistency however you are of the breed we lose and we awful we win and we are lucky. Have we been lucky on our current run we are on?

Awesome?!?!? Wow that player has set some pretty low standards for himself. He had a somewhat poor first half and an almost good second. Granted, compared with his usual performance I guess it was "awesome" but Beckford still created more chances in half a game than that player did in a whole game. Get Becks on!

Regardless, no whining about that player ... great win, lots of fun!

Lescott ... what's the score?

Beckford created chances thanks to Vic's flick ons and movement. Beckford played well when he came on and his pace definitely helped but Vic was excellent today, won all sorts, stayed strong and didn't allow himself to get frustrated. His touch and play on the whole was excellent and first half he was one of few good things. He was far and away MOTM over 90 minutes and it is the best he has played in an age.

I think people are so made up because we fought back and showed great determination to win the game. Anichibe played with desire, Beckford was always making intelligent runs, Osman was playing like Iniesta at points today(I'm not exaggerating). The fans played a great part with the volume during the second half which is always great to hear. I think people are pleased that we have beaten what is in essence a dream squad(Before they were city players how many of these players would you have loved at Everton?). Most importantly I am made up simply because we won a very entertaining game of football.

No one can deny city have more to look forward to than us dude, but why should that put a dampner on a great performance?

Mate Vic played great in the second half, not too bad in the first, effort was 10/10.

Okay I don't want to argue in too good of a mood. It smacks of the people who celebrate people who gave up something bad as if that's a great accomplishment -- millions of us have never done those things in the first place. If you set the bar low enough people take what you should be doing [it's his job] as something great or amazing. I'll stick to giving 10/10 to players like Bainsey or Distin where one halfway decent performance doesn't stand out like a shining beacon against a CV of consistent failures.

Anyway ... great win and made me smile so don't want to get dragged into a discussion about him so I will let others have the final word.

I'd much rather talk about the Osman. What a stud.

I think fans praising Vic's effort can only have a positive impact on the lad. I'm hoping he doesn't become complacent because he can offer something to the team if he uses his physicality correctly.

At HT I actually thought to myself that we've only come from behind to win once this season.

For that reason alone I'm made up. This was the kind of fight and passion that we're known for.

I feel I should side with davek in the face of such an onslaught.

But he wouldn't want it, the cat's loving it right now.

He's chewing the butterkist -

I think Big Vic showed a lot more today than he has in recent weeks. Great to see him show his commitment and strength. The side definitely benefited from that, and even more so once Becks came on.

Great win though, and a great spirited comeback from us overall! Was awesome to see Big Dunc make an appearance as well!

What's really disappointing is that City fans find it impossible to give us credit, instead of coming our with crap like "its our cup final" etc etc. I think they've forgot themselves a bit with all this money being thrown at them.

Shame really, they used to be sound fans but have turned into bad, bad bells now. Newcastle mark II.

I dont know what I did to receive the onslaught, tbh. It seems that when you say 'good win but we were fortunate' and the points mean nothing makes you a target for the GOT SEAL 6.
