Seen us perform far worse than today. Went behind to a goal in a million and then dominated the first half. Missed countless chances to level and then the young penalty took all the wind out of our sails. As a mate who’s a United fan just said, no way does that scoreline reflect the game. But if you don’t take your chances in any game, you’ll lose.

Does my head in how he tries to control long balls with his left foot, when it’s easier to try and control it with his right and the ball goes out of play
He has no right foot mate, we've had some truly onefooted players but never to this extreme.

My other favourite move is "push the ball left a bit, feign a cross, push the ball left a bit, feign a cross, push the ball left a bit, cross to no one". Should be named The McNeil, like the other great moves like Cruyff turns and all that.

He will end up as a left back imo

Let's put some perspective on this game.

1st goal: Scorer got in the right position; got off the ground perfectly; timed hitting the ball perfectly; and there it stops. He accidentally 'shinned' it. A pure fluke - he could try that another 10,000 times and get nowhere near putting the ball where it went tonight. A pure fluke, no matter how the media will play it up.
2nd goal: Young put his leg forward; Rashford goes into it and goes down like he's hit by a Russian sniper in the Battle of Stalingrad! The ref got it right first time. But hey, the guy in the VAR room couldn't wait to give them a pen. Sickening!
3rd goal: By then we were pushing up and desperately trying to get one back, and got caught out.

So consider the details of the first two goals, and don't be despondant. There's 25 games up for grabs, and there's plenty of team in the League who are going to crumble on a regular basis throughout the season.

He should end up being left back out of the team HAHAH GET IT HAHA LOL

But it's a logical progression - he's currently a defensive winger with a great engine but no pace, if we have everyone but Myko fit I'd try him at left back, or if it's during a game - sub Myko for (say) Danjuma and push McNeil LB etc.

There's options, Dyche would never, but the options exist.

“Goals change games”, and all that. I think if we can keep the squad fit we will be fine. In my opinion, I think there’s a lot of positives and we will begin to get the results we deserve if we keep at it.

When we get some signings in to inspire the fans, the likes of Danjuma, Beto and Chermiti, all who cant even start, certainly doesnt inspire me to us driving up the table.

We really did miss Onana in the middle today. He and Garner compliment each other so well, unlike Gana. Young is getting more and more like Keane, he’s proving a liability in the side. Coleman should come back in the team as soon as he is match fit.

agreed, Garnacho can retire tonight because I promise you his career has just peaked - beyond that, it was a game of taking your chances, they did and we sadly did not

People usually throw the baby out with the bath water, however these are the sensible points. We had our chances today, like with others, but we didn't take them.

Why we're so unable to score when playing at Goodison, well that's the question I am sure the coaching staff are pondering right now.

If we don't rectify this glaring problem, we're going to put ourselves in more and more pressure because we can't keep saying, "Well, we had our chances...

... we played relatively well.
"

I’d be more interested in seeing McNeil played as a left wingback.

You can also be not despondent by what was a decent performance and still recognise that the first goal was outrageously good and the second a clear penalty by the way.
