I know it's worth nothing for this game, but looking a bit more optimistically, we didn't play well for a large part of this game yet still created several very good chances, hit the bar and Onana pulled off a world class save from Gueye. If it had finished 1-1 I don't think any neutral could have said it was anything other than a fair result. It really was one of those days.

Before anyone shoots me down I'm acutely aware it means eff all if you don't take some of thise chances but my point is in spite of how turgid it can be a lot of the time, we have a knack of carving out a reasonable amount of good chances each game, even when being off our game.

Forest is an absolute litmus test as to whether heads have gone down. A winnable game, but they'll be thinking the same thing. And don't you dare play Young, Sean.

Well, you know my thinking on him.

If Harrison is to be a better offensive player as he was at Leeds he needs a FB he doesn't have to continually track back for. For me Coleman is the only FB we have who can do both sides of the FB job and he'll afford Harrison the base he can work off going on the attack. If we play Young or Patterson in behind him he cant settle to an attacking game as much as he'd like.
Ok Dave, a just for you 3/4/2/1

Pickford
Tarks Branthwaite. Myko
Coleman Garner Onana McNeil
Harrison. Danjuma
DCL

You could switch Tarks and Branthwaite around, I understand Branthwaite is pretty much 2 footed.

I thought there were a number of positives. 3-0 tends to give the impression that the team were on the receiving end of a skelping, it wasn’t the case.

Not even close. Honestly thought a draw would've been a fair result all things considered.

Absolutely vital we bounce back at Forest though. Back to back losses after everything that has happened will start to be very concerning.

Definitely, a draw would’ve been a fair result. I can’t help but wonder though, if we had managed an equaliser before 1/2 time, how Man U would’ve reacted.
Forest is a massive game, I hope Onana is back fit for it.

The system's all wrong for what we have at our disposal.

At home against most teams in the league we should be going 442.

The personnel needs tweaking not the system.
Not for me, I’d like to see Harrison and Danjuma higher up the pitch in support of DCL. You don’t get that with a 4/4/2. I’m confident it would help Harrison become more effective in games, still unsure about Danjuma, I’m still not sure he has the work rate required. But you don’t know until you try. If Danjuma can’t do the role, you can always try McNeil or Doucoure in there, or even Dobbin. But I think it would definitely help Harrison and DCL.

Danjuma can go missing in games. But he's a threat when we can get bodies in the box.

Let''s put it this way, if Danjuma got half the chances that fell to Maupay he'd take most of them. Hell a finisher when he gets in position for a shot.

But it's Beto I'd start before him.

I've just had a look at the highlights.
We were unlucky.
That "worldie" goal could have gone anywhere.
Soft penalty but 3rd goal ok.
We had chances and their goalie made a few good saves.

Lot of similarities between us & spurs v A Villa spurs should of been out of site by half time
Like us did not take their chances the rest is history
