Well according to the United world, they completely dominated the game!!

Not what I watched, they played hoof as mush as we did, and decided to park the bus 2nd half and spent the whole half wasting time and clearing everything long.

Even in the first half, created little chances and failed to use the fact that we where complete garbage !!!

I agree on that - he has all the ability to be much better.

However, I don't think it is down to a lack of gametime. He's had plenty of it since the start of 2016 but he's been consistently underwhelming.

How you can say Del is brilliant yet then slate Bolasie as useless in the same breath confuses me though :/

Played 10 games, only starting 2 isn't plenty of game time for a years worth of football mate, and I've not said he is brilliant, I said he was better than Bolasie (who I just don't rate AT ALL) although he has the potential to be brilliant.

Bolasie is the archetypical YouTube footballer, you can make him look fantastic with a highlights reel - when in the light of day he's a head down speed merchant who offers nothing bar hit & hope crosses. He's a bulkier worse version of Shaun Wright-Phillips and Ashley Young. You may as well stick a cardboard box on his head with 2 holes cut-out, that's how much of the game he sees.

Two very out of sorts side going against each other.

We got the least we deserved in a draw. We had better chances than them to win it - De Gea saved them 2 or 3 times.

Our best performance in ages in the second half, we must build on that though.

He's featured in much more than 10 games since January mate...

And exactly the same can be said about Deulofeu. In fact, moreso. Bolasie works harder for the side than Del does.

I want Del to do well, but his display yesterday peed me right off. Hope he comes good if he gets a run, but not confident he will.

Side note, im really getting fed up of so many fans around me.

Complete morons. Some of the shouts are a joke, why do they even bother!

1 chap, about 50, sat all around kids....just before Gana was guna hoof a clearance from inside our box with 3 players on him...."You've got time you f****ng beaut"

I tell you what, Holgate was solid when he came on. Not surprising he was playing when we were firing start of the season. Probably a blessing Coleman got injured as our defence is crumbling from age. Youth is what we need!

Oh sorry mate, I forgot the 1 game he played against Boro in the League Cup. And you are right about Bolasie working harder than Del, i'd just prefer him to work 'smarter'. He's just not got the brain for it - like Ross, and to an extent Rom.

Or what I like to call 'hit & hope'.

Because as opposed to lumping it into a general area, he picks his head up and looks for a man. Which is why he hardly crossed it yesterday as there was nobody there. Most of his play was short passes back into the middle or back to Holgate, he even took it all the way straight across the front of the 18 yard box himself and gave it to Baines looking for an attacking outlet.

Rather than lump it and lose possession he chose for us to keep it and to play football with it. That's called footballing intelligence, something Bolasie doesn't have.
I think it's a difference in football upbringing. Deulofeu was brought up in the Barcelona system which does preach precision. Despite his shortcomings as a player this will be what he's striving for.
Bolasie is, to all intents and purposes, a British style winger where gettiing the ball into areas which will be attacked or may produce a second ball to be attacked is what seems to be the order of the day.

The problem is we seem to still be set in a Martinez way and get very few people in the box when crosses come in. Bolasie (on form) would have been perfect for Koeman's Southampton side. Deulofeu (on form) was perfect for the Martinez style. Now we're playing (or trying to play) a lot of of direct football with a passing team shape. The fact that both are rather inconsistant and, like the rest of the team, in poor form, just compounds the problem

Throw in the loss of form and confidence, what appears to be a lack of desire in some quarters and a definite lack of quality in others and you get the confused mish mash horror show that we're witnessing.

Good theory. The problem is that Coleman, apart from being the youngest, was the closest to being in form of our aging defence.

Just thought id put my tuppence in for what its worth!

2 poor sides lacking in confidence i thought yesterday. i dont understand the people that said Mirallas played well, he did in the last 10 minutes but the rest of the time was anominous

Tactics were poor i thought, lukaku, Bolasie and Mirallas must of pressed for all of about a minute (weather that is them being lazy or Koeman instructing them not to i dont know). No aggression from any of them, we played a direct long ball all game but none of them seemed to be able to judge any of the balls coming in and no one was getting close enough or passing Lukaku, whos play himself was non exsistant until Valencia came on!

I honestly dont know wether to blame the players for being lazy, uninterested and thinking they are massive stars or the manager for continuously picking these lads. No energy from about 60% of them.

Atleaast a couple of kids would of ran abit more and put a not very good or energetic united team under pressire.

The 4th game in a row we have not had a shot on target in the first half, that is criminal!

Cleverley is about as much use as (insert something not very useful here), how is this man getting in our match day squad ahead of Walsh, Davies & Dowell?

Not all frowns though, Williams & Gueye were our 2 best players yesterday. Holgate did very well when he came on, made 2 or 3 very quick strong challenges on Martial to show he was there, and once Baines was aloud to cross the halfway line and we shown abit of width we looked so much more dangerous.
