Oh sorry mate, I forgot the 1 game he played against Boro in the League Cup. And you are right about Bolasie working harder than Del, i'd just prefer him to work 'smarter'. He's just not got the brain for it - like Ross, and to an extent Rom.

Eh?

Del featured a lot for RM in 2016 and has featured in pretty much every game under Koeman (I can recall 4 where he hasn't played this season).

He has not been good enough, end of.

I want him to be, and he has all the talent to be, but as you said yourself he's not smart with his play.

I'm not saying Bolasie is either, btw, but the effort is always there.

I feel like this game should get rid of any doubt that Mason Holgate should be seriously looked at as a starting player, Baines still has it when allowed to go forward and it's not all hype behind Gueye. Overall trying to be optimistic it's a great improvement from the last couple weeks and really night and day compared to the Blues that lost to Norwich several weeks ago.

I said Bolasie isnt smart with his play, not Del. The first thing Deulofeu does is pick his head up. The problem is we are too static and he has no outlet.

He hasnt been good enough thats right, THIS SEASON. Last season he was playing brilliantly, getting Rom goals left right and centre - then was dropped.

I'd prefer we concentrated on players who can improve like Deulofeu. Whats the point in having someobe with so much potential sat on the bench? Having someone like Bolasie in place of him is just plain ridiculous.

And he has played the majority of games under Koeman. Hes come on as a sub for 8 games with only 3 starts (in which he was subbed 3 times). Bolasie has 3 times the amount of minutes on the pitch as Deulofeu has.

When I watch Bolasie all I see is a flapping clumsy speed merchant who aimless clubs the ball into the box. Its infuriating.

Let's be honest here.

ther eis nothing positive from yesterdays game is there? we got a point, great! One more than we did before the game, can't turn our noses up at that.

but why is the general perception different because we got a penalty? We didn't play well nor did we really deserve to win the game. We played for 10 minutes out of the 90, looked out of sorts for too long, could have been 2-0 down well before that, and to be honest a competent team would have probably put a fiar few past us yesterday.

we needed a performance yesterday and we got the same old crap, bar a penalty to paper over the cracks. Koeman praises the fighting spirit? Same old crap again and the only, ONLY positive thing i will give Koeman is the fact he changed the team a little bit with Mori/cleverley/mirallas in there. Credit for that,i wanted to see it and clearly makes no difference to performances but kudos for changing things at least, if not tactics.

We must've been watching a different game pal. All I saw was Del give the ball away.

Gets let off the hook way too easily for me.

Almost every time Del comes on, our play improves, whether he's playing well or not. The reason? When he comes on there is immediately MOVEMENT in our usually static front three. I think someone said something similar yesterday....Del creates problems for the opposition even when he doesn't have the ball.

Does it?

It did yesterday, yes - though I think the switch to a 4-4-2 was the main reason for that in all honesty.

He's been awful when he's come on the last few games.

Maddeningly frustrating and gets away with more errors than any other player we have

as someone said above, two teams lacking in confidence and urgency. I suppose a positive is we haven't blown 400million on players to be as lackluster as United are, we've managed it on quite a small budget so every cloud.
The talking points. Rojo should have been sent off, no if, but's or maybes - it was reckless and dangerous and it could have ended Gana's season or worse career. Barry was perhaps lucky too to escape a second yellow for handball but i think Oliver had set the tone with how he handled the Rojo challenge and was quite happy to give us that one.
United controlled the game the first 60 minutes without ever really doing anything and only scored because our keeper is a plonker! - United fan's claiming they are the most unlucky team in the league need just look at that goal to see how much luck there was, crossbar, post, a clueless keeper and lucky spin trickling the ball over the line. The last 20 minutes we changed shape, had fresh legs, picked up the pace and deserved a point. Never thought i'd see the day a United side would come to Goodison and start time wasting with 15-20 minutes to play... how the mighty have fallen.
Cleverley could possibly be the worst player i've seen in a blue shirt (and we've had our share of useless players over the years). Gana again fantastic, Barry's age is finally catching up and Rom is immediately better with a player supporting him.
Anyone else lose there (insert word here) with MOTD's analysis?

aye the motd analysis was pathetic. Pogba was absolutely anonymous throughout the match yet Jenas picked him out for special praise. No surprise that barely anything was made of the 2 blatant red cards as well for Rojo and Zlatan ( who I thought was excellent for them)
