Just keep doing what we are doing, last two games we've only played for half a match and scored 6 goals.

We are not even in 4th gear yet nevermind 5th or 6th, there is more to come from us as our fitness improves and the manager has more time to work with the players.

It's looking good.

exactly. listening to Macmanamenamananamam then the little tit
Where will Liverpool finish, 3rd he said. Where will Everton finish, 7th or 8th because our squad is weaker than the top teams. Since when did the RS have a boss bench to call upon?

we've just got to keep ticking over and every game more means we are closer to optimum fitness, another week with Koeman working then hard and us getting the rewards on the pitch.

we ain't even got out of 2nd gear yet like you mention, a lot more to come from us

Maybe the bar is high but shouldn't it be when you are fighting for it against the likes of Barry, Gueye, Bolaise and Williams?

What I am trying to say is that I feel the bar is set unrealistically high to the point where he can have a very good game but many will just highlight a pass he should have done, or a misplaced pass or the fact he lost the ball once. I think people are now not looking at his overall performance but highlighting 1 or maybe 2 mistakes he made. If we looked for mistakes in each individual Everton player we would always find them but we tend to look more at Ross than the others.

I understand where you are coming from, I really do. It's just that with the position Ross plays in this all comes along with it, you're in and around the box, your final ball is the difference between a possible goal and a counter attack. I think he is a good player with the potential to become great, my problem area with him is his thinking, sometimes he just thinks too much and instinct should really be ruling his game. I believe it will come and he has the manager to bring that out.

Good win today, solid performance, nothing too spectacular, just making sure the basics are done correctly. Second half of the second half petered out a bit as we watched Boro have the ball and do nothing with it. For me, Gueye, yet again, was MOTM.

So, halfway to 10 games in, 13 pts notched up and people are noticing us again. Bournemouth and Palace to come. Still to soon to draw definite conclusions until the quality of opposition is cranked up but so far all to the good. Very encouraging indeed especially as the team is still in work in progress and not the finished article. I hope though that we reinforce our creative resources in January.

We still play out from the back, just with more tempo and purpose, anything sideways and backwards is done for a good reason not just for the sake of it. In Gueye, not only does he do so much defensive work, he is so much more forward facing than McCarthy. The fullbacks both look fitter and pick and choose when to go forward. Bolasie is easy to like but does tend to have a few whopper moments along the way, his good stuff though is very good. I suppose if I have a little worry it is the inconsistency of our attacking resources, in support of Lukaku. All of Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu and Bolasie can be truly excellent, all can have their moments when you want to scream.
