The players tested positive after Chelsea on December 16th, with 10 days isolating they would have been back in training yesterday, 1-2 of our lesser injured would have been back as well as having DCL back in squad so we’d have likely had the numbers to fulfil Thursday’s game

If Newcastle were as ‘dangerously’ close as Howe claimed then maybe they should have played a couple of U23 lads last night to rest the players that got injured in the game to keep numbers up

They should just cancel the whole season and be done with it at this point because this is becoming a farce. Everyone will be playing three games a week for the rest of the season (four games if you've got cup commitments!) until June at this rate.

So they’ve moved one period of fixture congestion to another period as the season won’t be extended.

I for one didn’t want the Burnley game cancelled or any other games for that matter. I know it’s a bit weird, ( especially at the moment ), but I enjoy going to watch Everton at least attempt to play a game of football.
