A few things about the actual game though, they've probably already been said but I'm not arsed looking through the whole thread to find them:

1. Oviedo is going to be a very good player, him and Mirallas on the wings will be lethal
2. Forren cannot get here quick enough the two that played CB today were very poor
3. Jagielka should never play right back, ever
4. Hitzlsperger and Osman played encouragingly well in the middle of the park
5. We need another striker - Jelavic is becoming more gash every week
6. Naismith is getting better each week
7. If we don't beat Arsenal on wednesday I can't see us winning a game until January

I missed the first 30 minutes and the hour or so I did see was absolute dross. Most of the passing was just terrible. Short passes
either missed their target or were put in positions were the opposition were easily able to take possession. The only time we looked like scoring was when Bainesy had that shot and, briefly, when Naismith had Jelavic virtually free on his left and passed to the corner flag. Jelavic is copping a lot from here lately, but he looks so isolated to me. He may be going to wrong areas, but no one really looks for him, imo.

1- agreed
2- yes, Distin seems to at least try, though
3- out of position, did ok, but better at CB
4- agreed
5- no, I'd play Vellios alongside him. He's decent, I think they'd both benefit
6- personally, I think he's ok
7- COYB, lets get going

I'd still like us to get another striker in because if Jelavic is continually out of form, I nor Moyes probably trusts our other striking options to get on a get us that goal, obviously try what we've got first but if not then a cheap option wouldn't hurt.

Wasn't being deliberately negative with that last one but we've got some really tough games alongside some potential banana skins and if we're out of form it could be a long, cold december.

I think the best thing about today though was the fact that I don't feel completely un-confident if Mirallas is injured as Oviedo did look a player and a half

I agree, we need to hit top form again but I have to say, I think Vellios is a decent forward.
