Must win game already. Potentially a bit dramatic. Time will tell but beating promoted teams or relegation touted/threatened teams at home is a must. Coyb

Everton v Nottingham Forest

  • Kick-off time: 15:00 BST
  • Everton 10/11 | Draw 5/2 | Nottingham Forest 3/1
By James Cantrill (@JimmyThePunt)

Two games in and Everton sit third from bottom, still awaiting their first point of the campaign.

Under the tutelage of Frank Lampard, the Toffees have won 30% of their league games, taking 20 points from the 60 available.

They have generated an xG of 20.97 in those games, only registering a total of over one in nine, which is alarming when you consider the fact that they have conceded an xGA of 30.19 giving them an xGD of -0.46 per game.

Nottingham Forest victory over West Ham has Steve Cooper’s side up and running. While their first half performance warranted the lead, they were perhaps a touch fortunate to cling on with Said Benrahma hitting the woodwork from a freekick and Declan Rice having his penalty saved.

Nevertheless, I think backing them to get a result is the way to go for their trip to Goodison Park.

In their promotion campaign under Cooper, Forest conceded less than a goal per game which was by far the best average in the league, which is why I fancy them to edge what promises to be a tight affair.

Score Prediction: Everton 1-1 Nottingham Forest (Sky Bet odds: 11/2)

Odds correct at 1900 (18/08/22)

Hi there you lot, Tricky Tree supporter here and I come in peace. I see there's a lot of pessimism on here and I get that. Not sure Frankie boy is a decent manager it has to be said and your lack of recruitment doesn't help, but then you know that.
I'm not sure which team Coops will put out it'll be a surprise to all of us. I don't think Gibbs-White will start more likely Dennis. Midfield is an area where there are loads of options but the new signings will probably be introduced gradually so as I said, it's impossible to call.
Anyway hope it's a good game, I'm obviously going to say we'll win but I'm not overly confident.

He comes in peace; break his legs!

Clearly we need more of the ball sticking up top and some actual midfield presence.
