This is it. I mean, if Lampard is utterly and totally dependent on having "better players" to beat a newly-promoted and newly-introduced Nottingham Forest - having already played that excuse against Chelsea and Aston Villa - well, he's well on the slippery slope.

I'm hopeful we can win today. But make no mistake. This is a bellwether game for Super Frank. At some point, we need to see that there is a coach and tactician there behind the name recognition and winsome enthusiasm. He did what was required last season - just - so he's earned the right to show us what he really has. He's been very coy so far this season. Today will be the big reveal.

The point of a coach is to "coach" the players in a system of play that he wants, not what some no mark old crusts in a forum want. Stick to the plan.

We lost last week because we switched to a 433 and our defence was wide open when Onana was dispossesed.

343 gives us solidity but without a focal point we have little up top.
