….Forest look very decent in the top third and very ordinary at the back (still don’t know how West Ham didn’t win last weekend). We look decent defensively and poor in the top third.

I’m sure Forest will score so we need two goals to have a chance of getting anything.

Thats how I see it.
Forest defence is strong, and since the win at West Ham they have added Kouyate to midfield who was ranked second in the Palace side last season for interceptions and third for tackles. Also this week they've signed Dennis from Watford. He bagged 10 goals in a poor attacking side last season and got six assists.

Forest will be no walk over, but Everton are favourites for the win at home, could still easily be a banana skin though.

Get the feeling in my water that this will be like the Palace game - a game of 2 halves. could see is being one or 2 down at HT then a rousing second half comeback to win 3-2.
No idea why I think we have three goals in us, but I dont think their defence is up to much, just like ours!

To be honest, I find it difficult to assess this game as Forest seem to have so many new players, so I shall predict a 2-1 win.

What is your reasoning on that? They had the second-best defensive record in the Championship last season. They have only conceded 5 goals at home in the past 9 months.
They have an entirely new team…west ham had plenty of chances on the weekend. Thought forest looked very open - whether we will be good enough to exploit it is another matter.

Promised you a miracle
Belief is a beauty thing
Promises, promises
As golden days break wondering

And a miracle is what we'll need if we don't purchase some forwards in the next day or so so stop listening to your Simple Minds "Greatest Hits" Kev and sign some bloody strikers !!!

Our next chance to get a shot on target, win a header from a corner, keep a clean sheet, actually win 3 points comes this Saturday against Forest. I was impressed with them against West Hamon Sunday, though tbf the Hammerzzz should have won after hitting the bar twice, missing a pen and missing a sitter.

But all I keep looking at is our lack of strength up top and I'm struggling once again to see how we'll score the goals to get us a result. Also, by the time Saturday comes around we could be a Dele and a Gordon lighter than we were last week.

In regards to Gordon the best thing to do is -

If he stays - "top man and well done Everton for telling the cash rich clubs to koff"

If he goes - "we've absolutely pulled Chelseas pants down there and he's crap anyway"

That way, we are all winners no matter what.

It'll be 3 at the back once again I reckon, probably end up being 7 actually as there's no one to play upfront.

maccas marauding 11 will be

GK Pickers
RWB Patters
CB Coady
CB Mike Wasowski
CB Mykolenko
LWB Vinagre
CM Iwobi
CM Onana
LW Gray
RW Mcneil
ST Rondon

Reason Holgate Is left out is because there's no way we won't pick up another centre back injury this week, probably playing darts in the canteen and one lands in his big toe. So Vinagre comes in as LWB. Onana to start, Gana on the bench and that abomination of a front 3 up top (I reserve the right to change my line up if we sign 20 new strikers before the weekend)

maccas professionally qualified predictions

Everton 1-1 Forest

I read the reports from their two games and there xGA was high despite both teams not converting chances into goals.

Scintillating play from the mighty blues and their unconventional absence of attacking forwards will see us above United before their crunch game against fellow relegation battlers Liverpool.

6-0, James brace on his shock return, Calvert-Lewin hat-trick after his Lazarus like recovery and unbelievablely Rondon honks one in from a corner off the top of his bonce.
